MG Midget 1978 Convertible Running Barn Find!! This is a original South Carolina car. Has been off the road for over 10 years. We have a clear South Carolina Title. There is a mileage discrepancy with this cars mileage. Title states mileage is 152,005 when the speedometer states 81,801. We believe the title should have said 15,205 miles when issued. We did change all fluids, and car did start up. Motor sounds okay, clutch does work, brakes work if you pump pedal. Car recently had tires, and some other mechanical work done to it. Does not have a battery. Car belonged to one of our customers who bought it from his brother, who passed away. He was going to restore it for himself, started to, but never finished. Top was not that old, and most electrical seem to work. We did drive this car around the block, shifted fine in all gears. This has the later model 1500 Engine and Transmission in it. Does have some rust in the one rocker, and other few small spots. Car is definately worth restoration!! This is the 178th Midget made in 1978!! Production date was September 1977.
