Im that guy that tells everything thier is to know about what your bidding on so you can bid with confidence and know what your buying. I can't think of anything worse then overbidding a purchase only to find out the seller was a lier as well as a cheat or (crook) I would just as soon find them and break thier fingers. With that being said let me share all that I know. Up for sale is a 1973 volkswagen bus I aquired from a sale, This van had been in storage for well over 10 years, I have a clear title and 2 keys. This van starts and runs but should be restored, I have replaced one break line, flushed the fuel tank, replace fuel lines and have drove it around. I have chosen to put many pictures on to show the good as well as the bad. If I forget to state any facts about this van ask me and I will post your question as well as the answer on line at the bottom of the listing, nothing to hide so bid with confidence. REPEAT this van needs to be restored in order to safely be put in the road and I would like the winning bidder to trailer it off my property, It would drive off but I do not want the liability if the van were to malfunction once gone. This van is sold AS IS !!!!!! and should be restored. The interior is in awsome shape it has the hangers for curtains, one small tear in head liner about one half inch long, the rear seat folds down flat for a bed and there is a spare tire and rim that matches the rest on the van. No rips that I can see in the seats. all the glass is in tact how ever thier is one wing vent that has a broken tab on the bottom of metal frame where it pivots so it is taped in place. the van should have the breaks gone thru front and back and the rear door won't open, needs to have latch work, also the side slider door is missing the top support arm that slides along, a small braket or arm. The carb runs but should be rebuilt for reliability and the starter works but is ruff, should also be rebuilt. the charging system seems to work so whats left is body work. The rust underneath looks worse then it is however the rocker panels are rusted out pretty bad well into the floor pan inside they will need to be replaced, If you look at the frame you can see the undercoating pealing away and revealing the original paint. the front axle has one rust hole and it is missing the rear bumper. I have new front rotors and brake shoes unless the van brings over a thousand for final sale price at which point I will throw them in free. I hope this answers all the questions that would be asked, if not I will try to check the sale ever day late at night and answer them. I reserve the right to sell this van local as it is listed on craig list for $1299.00 This is a NO RESERVE listing and it is possible that sold seperatly the engine would bring $500.00 trans $300.00 glass $300.00 and interior $300.00 and so on. A craigs list buyer would have to pay close to that price for me to pull this sale and only up until the first five days listed after that I believe it's not possible to stop the sale.
