Vehicle Detail

1956 Triumph TR6 T110 pre unit 650. Matching frame and engine numbers. This bike was built by experienced (25 years+) bike builder. The story on this bike is it was built from a frame and engine that I purchased from a long time Triumph collector in southern California. He unexpectedly passed away and his widow sold his extensive collection of Triumph bikes. The engine bottom end had been completely rebuilt with no expense spared by renowned Triumph builder George Omo from Omo and Sons Motorcycles in Oxnard California. The bike was in the process of being restored. Everything in the engine was replaced with all new parts and to the highest standard. The cylinder head when I got it as part of the deal was a ultra rare NOS never been used bare cylinder head! For those of you who know, new pre unit cylinder heads are just not available anywhere at any price, so that is a major plus. It was assembled with all new valves, etc. by Triumph specialist at Riverside Triumph. The magneto was rebuilt and new gear installed. The gearbox is another unique and rare item. It is the very hard to find recently rebuilt so called slick shift unit available on the later pre units. If you don't know about the slick shift gearbox, it has a special gear shifter linkage that connects the shifter to the clutch linkage so that when you shift gears it also releases the clutch automatically! Makes for shifts (up or down) without having to pull the clutch lever. You can still use the lever if you want to but with this gearbox you can shift smoothly without using the clutch. You only need to use the clutch when first taking off. Really cool. The frame is the stock front part of the frame that matches the engine number, it has been bolted to a Factory Metal Works 3" over and 2' drop rigid frame fitted with new Timken neck bearings. The forks are from a later (1962) pre unit that have been completely rebuilt with new tubes, bushings seals. The wheels are stock 19" front, 18" rear also from a 1962 pre unit that have been rebuilt with new original type English made bearings, and powder coated gloss black and fitted with Avon 3.50/19 and Firestone 4.0/18 tires. The gas tank is a Wassell original tank totally rust free and fitted with English made push-pull fuel valves. The fender is also a wassell ribed unit. Custom oil tank from a modified vintage Ford. The seat is a Bates design custom leather and pan on chrome springs. The pipes are rechromed stock Triumph exhaust header pipes. All the hardware was replaced with stainless steel or replated original Triumph. Shifter lever, kick pedal, brake levers, hand controls rechromed original parts. Fork top nuts rechromed, other small parts rechromed. Bike is sold as is. $500 deposit due within 24 hours by paypal with the balance due no later than 5 days after auction ends. International buyers must pay full amount by paypal plus fees ONLY. Bidders with less than 10 feedback score contact me first before bidding.
