Vehicle Detail
I have used this car as a Sunday Driver for over twenty years, enjoying the honks and high signs from other drivers, and especially the kids calling Hey—Nice Car, from their bikes. Over recent years it has gotten less and less use, and it has become time to part with my “garage ornament”, as my wife calls it. It does not have matching numbers, which is how it came to me, without any explanation. It has been garaged constantly, and I got caught in a rain shower only once, about six years ago. It has the 327 engine, four-speed manual transmission, and good tires. Over the years I have done several maintenance and repair projects, but not a serious restoration. The front end was rebuilt, the exhaust manifold and radiator have been replaced, and last year the brakes were redone, with new lines. It has always started and run, with no engine problems. I am told I may need synchro rings, as it will pop out of third when the torque lowers. The carpets were replaced, but the original seats, and dash show wear. There is a small stress crack on the driver’s door near the mirror, which I photographed. The radio works, but not the clock. It comes with a dust cover, extra floor mats, and a few spare parts I never got around to installing. I have tried to list the type of comments I’ve seen in other Ebay write ups. I am a driver not a mechanic, but I will try to get answers to any of your questions.
