1975 Pontiac Trans AM 455HO Loaded! 4 Speed 3 Owners. 79000 miles. Recent extensive service lets this car perform to it's full potential.New parts: radiator and hoses,tires,dual exhaust,oil pump,fuel pump,stabilizer bushings,starter ,shock aborbers,rear main seal,rear gearbox seal.New fluids throughout.The 8 track and the radio work as supplied from factory,new OEM speakers.This car is a blast to drive and runs way better than it looks,it has the factory original inlet and exhaust manifolds.The engine and gear box match the car.Of only 879 455 HO produced in this year we believe only 79 were painted this buccaneer red.The mileage is original as evidenced by the log book.When we were tuning it up we found the ignition to be quite retarded,it has never ran as good as it does now .The oil pan was removed as it sat for 18 years and the inside cleaned and a new oil pump installed.Car has excellent oil pressure and does not overheat.These cars were underrated by the factory so as to actually get them on the streets.Initially Pontiac announced in 1974 that the 455 would not come out in the TA.Without their pollution equipment and the timing and carburettor just right they really wake up.Obviously not quite the same as a Super duty 455 of a couple of years before,however its about 20% of the price. Requires extensive metalwork for restoration.Will need floors,trunk,trunk lid ,quarters,fenders and hood.There is nothing like doing 90 mph and having effortless acceleration without a downshift.It is a great road car,although it will spin the tires effortlessly,it is really most comfortable being hustled quickly through corners.
