Vehicle Detail
1986 Camaro with the 2.8L V-6. Engine was rebuilt by a previous owner. What I have done to the car: Replaced the windshield washer pump; Replaced the thermostat; Replaced the cap & coil with MSD cap & coil. The engine idles a little rough, but I never expected much from these old 2.8-liters... Howver, it does seem to run very reliably around town and on the highway... NEVER stalls! It gets good gas mileage, and could make a fine daily driver with a little TLC and a tune-up. The T-Tops have key locks and do not leak...UNLIKE my '80 Camaro :( This would also be a good candidate for a V8 conversion. I believe the car was originally a NJ car, so the body shows some rust in the usual places, but nothing too terrible for a northern car. There is an ugly spot on the hood where the paint cracked and started rusting in the crack, but it looks mostly like surface rust that could be sanded down and repainted. Tires are in good shape and never lose air (I've had the car a year and never put any air in them). I've only put 400 miles on the car, so if there are any other concerns, I haven't found them. It was overheating last fall, but since I changed the thermostat, that seems to be resolved. Any questions, feel free to message me here. I may consider trades, as well. The reserve is $1500, which is much less than I have invested. On Jun-23-11 at 10:15:54 PDT, seller added the following information: 1986 Camaro with the 2.8L V-6.
