I purchased this truck from a local dealer last year. I am the second owner of this truck, and it spent most of its life in Nebraska. I was intent on puling a 5th wheel camper with it, but plans change and the 5th wheel never materialized, so now im selling the truck. i have put 15,000 miles on the truck while i have owned it and it has served me well. Oil changes, tire rotations and new batterys are all i have done to it, every 5000 miles. The batterys were put in 4 months ago and are motorcraft brand. The next oil change is due at 131000 miles. The truck gets 16-18 MPG average per tank full. That is 60-70 percent highway/ interstate driving. i have never gotten below 14 MPG in this truck. I once got 21 MPG but that was straight highway at 65-70 miles per hour. This truck does not have ANY leaks. oil, coolant and the transmission all are pipe tight. This truck starts first time every time even in cold weather. (20 degrees out WITHOUT the block heater plugged in. The transmission shifts firm and smooth with no slippage. the fluid is red, does not smell burnt and has no grit in it. The motor has no unusual noises, and the oil pressure sits at the top 1/3 of the normal range on the gauge. Modifications done to this truck include the addition of a transmission temperature gauge by the original owner and the addition of a CD player to replace the factory AM/FM radio/ cassette player. Thats it. the 7.3l Powerstroke motor is STOCK. although this particular 7.3l has the FORGED connecting rods so if YOU want to hot rod the truck this motor is a better choice than the powdered metal rods used in 2001-2003 7.3l diesel motors. The truck drives great, accelerates smoothly, does not pull to one side, and the A/C blows cold. This is a nice truck. The underside has almost NO RUST. just look at the pictures. there are 3 spots of damage to this truck. 1)the driver side seat has a small tear in the leather on the side of the seat by the power seat controls. 2) there is a small dent/ chip taken out of the passenger side front door no rust has started, but the paint needs to be touched up. total size is 1/4 inch. 3) there is a small dent/paint chip in the passenger side bed. again no rust yet and about 1/4 inch size total. On Jun-21-11 at 13:55:31 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE/ EDIT: I forgot to mention that there is a dent in the cab corner on the driver side. no paint is missing, just a dent. the dent can be seen in the photos. the dent was there before i got the truck probably from pulling a 5th wheel and cutting a corner too tight but i do not know for sure. Also the truck is wired for a 5th wheel and has the holes drilled in the bed for mounting a hitch. I appologise for forgetting about this information i just thouht about it last night, so im adding it now.
