Classic project car for my son, but now he's driving heavy metal in Afganistan. SOLD AS IS CONTACT ME FOR QUESTIONS NO DISPUTES after Sale! KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING! Has softtop (rough but intact) and option hardtop (worth alone $450.00+ all glass good). Car runs and passed CA smog in 2010 under FED standards, tags are current as of 5/08/11 to 5/08/12, buyer must pay transfer fees and smog for their own area. Transmission needs a little work hard to get into gears 2,4 and reverse, makes a little noise when moving, I am told it needs a throwout bearing which means a cluch job. New shocks but a common problem needs rear spring help. Needs speedo cable that is broken (Mileage is est.) and minor interior wiring hook up to some items like radio (org am), I'm sure you would want to replace anyway. Tires road worthy but has some snow chain sidewall damage minor. All glass is good no chips and new widshild, weathersripping history but cheap to replace. All and all it is not too bad of shape and very fun to drive, very good on gas (I would keep it for myself, but it is hard for me to get in and out for my size and age.) Body is fair not org. paint and some minor dings, it will be a fun project for someone, plus the insurance with 21 century is only $75.00 for 6mo. With the condition of the cluch, I do not recomend that you drive it far if you buy it until fixed around $200.00, ebay has a kit for $125.00 right now, arange to have it shipped or transport on trailer. Last tune up completed by BMW shop and smoged 4/22/10 it has not been driven more than 400 miles est or less since, started weekly. May be interested in a trade or part of of deal trade towards like a motorcycle project Harley type or similer or VW? Basket case? What do you have that might interest me (must have paperwork, but offer anyway you never know).
