This car has been in the family for more than twenty years. In 1999-2000 the car was totally rebuilt and re-manufactured by Westchester Classic Auto in Westchester, New York. Body off, engine out, restoration and rebuilding of all mechanicals including the engine (new bearings and rings), transmission synchro, brakes, and differential. Wire wheels restored. No expense was spared by the professional restorers. Body was painted British Racing Green. New Connelly leather upholstery installed, and new top. All numbers (VIN, body, engine, and gear box) match original identification plate. Available on request. The headlights in the bonnet were converted to the covered headlight style. Original canisters preserved to switch back to the uncovered style if desired. In essence, this is a new car. The car was stored in a heated garage for ten years. In 2010, the car was shipped to Blackhorse Automotive Services in Bridgeport, Connecticut, for a complete restoration of operating parts and replacement where needed of alternator, distributor, lights, fans, heater, gas tank, fuel pump, carburetors, gas lines, brakes, all hoses, and radiator. The car is now a beautifully restored fully operational street runner, as well as a potential show car. The restored car is driven on week ends in the Summer, and stored in the winter in a heated garage. 57,000 original miles. 500 miles since restoration in 2000. Over $150,000 has been spent on the restoration of this car.
