Here is a great truck, a 1986 Toyota longbed pickup. This truck is well-maintained, has working air conditioning, and is ready to drive anywhere - I'd put my mom in it and send her across the country alone, that's how reliable it is. I'm the 2nd owner, and the truck was purchased new here in Colorado.  It's been in Colorado its whole life (we don't use rock salt on our roads), so the body is in excellent condition. With 173k miles, it's just a good, solid, dependable Toyota with a long life ahead of it! The engine is a 2.4 liter 22R 4 cylinder that starts immediately and runs flawlessly, whether warm or cold.  It is smooth and quiet, with no timing chain noise that sometimes plagues these engines.  It doesn't burn any oil, although it will mark its spot with a drop or two when parked.  The engine oil stays clean, and the antifreeze is clean as well. The transmission is a 5 speed manual with overdrive for excellent fuel economy. It shifts perfectly, smooth as can be, with no grinding or unusual noises whether upshifting or downshifting.  The clutch engages properly, with no chattering or slipping.  Brakes are good, rear end is good, steering is tight and responsive, etc.  The exhaust is very quiet.  This truck is in excellent mechanical condition. The exterior of the truck is in rather nice condition, as you can see in the photos below.  It has never been in an accident and is all original Toyota sheetmetal.  The original paint is very smooth and shiny.  There is basically no rust to speak of on the entire truck.  There are a few *tiny* paint bubbles on the lower corners of the tailgate and on the bed seam about 8" in front of the driver's taillight, otherwise the bed seams are absolutely perfect and pristine.  There is a small dent below the passenger taillight, with very light surface rust where the paint flaked off.  I've shown this in the photos below.  Other than these areas, the truck is rust free.  The frame is not rusted and retains nearly all of its original black paint and factory markings.  The windshield has a couple chips, all other glass is excellent.  The sliding rear window is in good condition and the latch works properly.  The rest of the truck has a few small scratches and dings here and there, but nothing that is inconsistent with the truck's age and mileage. Overall the truck looks very nice - crisp and clean. The interior of the truck is in good original condition and looks great. The seat is showing a bit of wear on the driver's side and there are some cracks on the top of the dash (covered by a dashmat), but this is to be expected in a 25 year old truck.  The headliner, instrument cluster, heater controls, glovebox, vinyl floormat, etc are all in good shape. The radio is an older JVC AM/FM/Cassette that works fine. The owner's manual is in the glovebox where it belongs, and the jack and spare tire tools are behind the seat. The bed of the truck shows very little wear and has not been used hard or abused.  The topper has been on the truck for much of its life, and it's been used mostly as an economical commuter.  It has never had a trailer hitch.  This truck has been well maintained.  In the rare occurrence of a problem, it was taken to the same small local shop since new. It is in excellent mechanical condition and should run for a long, long time. I can't say enough about how nice this truck is to drive! The steering and suspension are tight and responsive. The interior is clean and presentable. The engine runs perfectly, and the truck drives down the road just like when it was new. All controls function properly, everything works. The suspension rides smooth and quiet, and the exhaust is very quiet as well. Just a pleasure to drive, whether it's across town or across the country! EVERYTHING works on this truck.  The air conditioning blows cold, the heater blows hot.  The windshield wipers and squirters work properly.  All of the lights work - dash lights, license plate lights, etc.  The turn signals cancel themselves like they should.  The horn works, the emergency brake works, everything works - just get in and drive! All emissions equipment is in place and operational.  The truck passed its last inspection with flying colors, at 166k miles.  A copy of the report will be included with the truck. Also included with the truck are the original owner's manuals, the Brahma topper / cap, a folder of receipts, 2 keys, and a clean Colorado title. Payment in full is due within 5 days of the end of auction, no exceptions. I will accept cash or cashier's check for balance of payment. If picking up the vehicle in person within the 5 days, I will require the balance due in cash at that time. Please don't bid if you can't or won't pay!
