NO RESERVE AUCTION!! I purchased this car a few years ago with all the intentions of "restoring it" into a fun cruiser. But have since lost interest and do not feel like spending anymore money on it. So needless to say my loss is your gain! 1981 Mercedes Benz W123 chassis limousine model 40 by Cook Mercedes of St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. I was told when I purchased the car that it had one time been owned by NBA star Moses Malone. I have no documentation to back that up but thought I would pass it on. At some time the car was converted to a V8 car. I assume the transplant was done at the same time the stretch was done. However I have no way of confirming that. The car is showing 22,407 miles. I do not believe that to be actual. Not for any particular reason. Just don't think it's actual. The car has had some paint work over the years but it is very presentable. The paint has good luster and shines up well. I had a brand new vinyl roof installed on the car when I purchased it. It has never been parked outside since then. Top still looks brand new! It cost me $2000.00 alone. The interior is in good condition front and rear. Free of rips or burns. Headliner is in good condition and does not sag. The dash does have some cracks. Not horrible but they are there. The bad: 1.)Blinkers don't work. Believe it's the relay 2.)The shifter does not line up with what gear its in. Might be bushings or needs adjustment. (does not effect drivability) 3.)Engine idles a bit rough and starts a bit hard at times. 4.)Has slight exhaust leak at manifold(appears it needs a new gasket) The car does run and drive down the road. It is just going to take some one to spend some time fine tuning it and sorting a few things out. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. this is not a buy it now ask questions and negotiate later!!!!
