Vehicle Detail

Up For Bid: 1977 MGB with V6 Power! Here is a perfect combination of British classic lines, top-down fun AND outstanding throttle response! You've been waiting for this one!! This conversion, has it all and was accomplished with care, as you can easily see by the photos. Starting with a completely rust free MGB body, with only 48,000 miles, the powerful GM V6 engine fits like a glove, mated to the highly acclaimed "T5" World Class (5 Speed) transmission. The conversion/installation process is too lengthy to describe in one post, however here are pertinent details: Engine: Rebuilt 3.4 litre 6 cylinder, pistons 10 over/mild cam, new oil pump, seals, heads ported/polished with new valves, seals and gaskets! Transmission/Drive Train: T5 5 Speed with new seals and gaskets. New clutch, hydraulics (new master cylinder) and throw out bearing. Rear differential flushed and new oil added. CUSTOM MADE drive shaft! Additional Mechanical: New Speedometer Cable to mate with MG Smiths Gauge, new Water Pump, Hoses and 12 inch Electric Automatic Cooling Fan installed. New serpentine belt fitted. More: Holly 350 "Quick Response Circle Track" Carb with new fuel lines, gas tank carefully flushed and refitted. Entire suspension inspected and lubed to spec, shocks in great condition, steering rack boots replaced with new. New front Rotors, rear Drums turned and wheel cylinders replaced along with all brake hoses! Headers are custom made with 2.5 inch down pipes and a dual tip resonator has been fitted. The car is not loud, just a pleasing note, letting you know there is power to spare under the hood! (Tires: 205X70X14 on beautiful Minitor Alloy Custom Wheels, made in the UK) Body/Interior: This car is clearly a "low mileage" beauty, but to bring it up to my standards, it was sprayed with a new coat of white (Vanilla Suede) paint, all fittings/lights/hardware OFF of the car and then replaced. Must be seen to be appreciated! The interior is original with no rips, but new carpeting, door panels, a dash coverlay and the correct zip out rear window top! Custom Wood Steering Wheel with period AM/FM cassete radio have been added. Car comes with excellent condition full tonneau cover. Original bonnet prop has been replaced with more functional struts for convenience! MG V6 conversions are not new to me. I am a passionate MG fan and have owned and restored many. Rest assured that the sum total of component quality and fit, workmanship and a superb MGB chassis, in this classic, equates to exactly what the Brits were aiming for back in the day, but were simply unable to market in time. Obviously, the most significant feature of this car is its performance in both handling and response. The car drives like a dream, and shifts with precision. The T5 short throw shifter is magnificent. The power of a GM V6 supports the entire package with more power than you'll need. Note that this engine is rated at 160hp and with the mods performed could easily be pushing 20+ above that (the stock engine in 1977 was rated at well under 70hp!). As if this were not enough, I will add that the car was shown in May of this year at the annual British Car Fest in Rome, GA and won First in Class! Car is set at a very reasonable Reserve price; fly into ATL and drive it home! Be advised: this car cannot be built to these specs for near this price!!! Feel free to contact me for more information/photos etc. Bid with confidence. I am a 100% Positive Ebay Seller and am not a car dealer. Note that a $500.00 is required within 24 hours of auction end, and the balance paid upon collection of the vehicle. Shipping (if needed) is the sole reponsibility of the Buyer, and this MGB is advertised locally; I reserve the right to sell at any point during the auction. This car is available to doestic bidders only. Please do not bid if you have less than 97% positive Eaby feedback rating. Thank you. Enjoy the bidding! Best of Luck!!
