This is an absolutely gorgeous original Lincoln Town Car in mint condition. It was originally from Scottsdale, Arizona and has been in the Las Vegas, Nevada area for the past three years. It belonged to my mother who is now too old to drive anymore. It had less that 2000 miles put on it in the last year. She never drove in the rain either. Look at the pictures of the underside. This car has been garaged all of it's life. It has been owned by non-smoking adults. It has all the original paint with no body work anywhere. There are only some small door dings on the sides and you can see by the pictures how straight the sides of this car really are. The color is called Pastel Adobe with a clearcoat. The interior is tan cloth and is perfect with not tears, stains or discolorations. The carpet is perfect with no stains or tears and it still has the orignal Lincoln floor mats with the Ford part numbers molded in the rubber on the back side. The driver's door panel shows the usual small splitting along the seam on the arm rest, but the passenger side and rear doors are perfect. The headliner is perfect with no marks or damage at all. The original seatbelt warning decals are still on the side windows. The dash pad is has no cracks except for where the holes are over the dash speakers. Some of the dash padding has broken off the hole sections. This is not visible with the fabric dash cover in place. This car is fully loaded with all options except for the telephone, sun roof and air suspension. EVERYTHING WORKS! This car is loaded with Air Conditioning with Automative Temperature Control which works in all settings including the automatic fan setting. The automatic transmission was rebuilt 3 years ago andd shifts perfectly. The power steering pump and steering gear box have been replaced. The water pump is new. It has the EEC-IV SEFI fuel injection system that works perfectly. This car cold starts right up and idles smooth when warm. It used no oil between oil changes, which were done at 3000 mile intervals its entire life. The valve cover and intake manifold gaskets have been changed and upgraded to the metal reinforced silicone to elimate the common upper engine leaks these cars get. This car has automatic dimming headlights and delayed exit lighting. It has an automatic glare dimming inside rearview mirror that works. It has six-way power seats on the driver's and passenger sides with manual recliners that all work properly. AM/FM Cassette Premium sound system that works including the display. I do not have a cassette tape to check the cassette player, but I know it has not been used in years. The power antenna works perfect. The keyless entry systems works. Cruise control system works. The chrome on the turn signal and interval wiper levers is not flaking or cracked as common to these cars. The tilt wheel works. Steering is tight and smooth. The guages all work and the needles are not faded. The original set of manuals in in the glovebox along with the Ford logo plastic trash bag cover and a factory dealer showroom brochure. The tires are in great shape and the spare is also an aluminum wheel to match the others. This car also has some upgrades. A modern HomeLink programable garage door opener is installed in the driver's sunvisor (see pictures). It is compartile with all 2001 and up rolling code gate and garage door openers. It also has a remote keyless entry trunk opener and alarm system that works off a key fob like the newer Lincolns. The front and rear stabilizer bars have been upgraded to the thicker 1980's police interceptor model to greatly reduce body roll in the corners without any loss in ride quality, check out the pictures. This makes this car handle freeway ramps much better than when new. The only negatives about this care are there is a snall oil pan gasket leak. I have a new silicone/metal pan gasket that goes with the car. There is a small area on the upper driver's door that looks like a shopping cart ding (see the pictures) but is not very noticable. The vynil top is showing some small cracks on the flat top portion, but the sides are in perfect shape. The top is in very good condition for the year and the climate this car was in. I think you will be hard pressed to find a better example of this style of Town Car in this good of shape with these modern upgrades. I can not find where any of the panels have been repainted or replaced so I am not sure what the circumstances of the accident are, but it had to very minor. You can see by the pictures the excellant condition of this car. There is no frame or body shell damage. On Jun-11-11 at 22:51:36 PDT, seller added the following information: I also wanted to add that lower front door hinges that hold open the driver's and passenger doors have been replaced with NOS obsolete Ford parts that were painted to match. These doors will stay open when the car is on an incline. The alarm system LED was placed on the top left hand side of the dash pad (not the dash face panel) in same location the anti-theft PATS LED would be on the newer Lincolns.
