DO NOT BID IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WE ARE SELLING THIS SUV AS-IS - TRANS PROBLEM!!! LOW RESERVE/WHOLESALE DEAL Up for your consideration is a MECHANIC SPECIAL. This is a 2000 Lexus RX300 AWD Premium SUV that has a transmission problem. THIS VEHICLE DOES NOT SHIFT INTO REVERSE! It was traded in today and we are listing it AS-IS, WHERE-IS, NO WARRANTY IMPLIED! Below is a short breakdown of the current condition of this vehicle's interior and exterior. Mechanically, the vehicle drives forward and was driven into the dealership by the customer. The vehicle has a sticker in the upper left side of the windshield regarding the next oil change is due in August of 2011 or at 158,000 miles. The previous owner stated that the transmission issue of not being able to go into reverse recently started to occur. WE ARE SELLING THIS VEHICLE EXACTLY AS IT SITS WITHOUT REVERSE GEAR. There is a payoff on this Lexus and we are in the process of getting a check out to the bank that has the title. Understand that the vehicle will be sold to the highest bidder and a title will be provided as soon as possible. Exterior - Tires - Front Michelins, Rear Firestones - all seem to be in above average condition except for the passenger front tire that is at 40-50%. - The alloy wheels seem to be in good shape but look at the photos closely. - Both bumpers have blemishes. The front bumper has a scuff mark from light contact on the passenger side and the rear bumper has a 1 inch scratch thru the paint - look at the photos. - Headlights have some dull smoke like buildup on or inside the lens cover. - Look at the photos of the rest of the exterior to view other areas with scratches and evidence of wear. - Overall, for the age and the amount of miles on this RX300, the exterior is in pretty good shape. Interior - The leather, floor boards, and headliner show evidence of wear from years of use. Look at the photos that show cracking, split area on driver seat, stains on floor and headliner. NO FLOOR MATS. Heated seats seem to work but can not properly tell due to the heat outside. - Back of passenger seat is loose and will need a new clip to attach it properly - Air-conditioning BLOWS ICE COLD and the dual climate control seems to be working just fine. - Factory stereo and 6-disc CD changer in glove box are in working order, including the electronic antenna. - CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON!!! We do not know why and will not perform any type of diagnostic check up. WE ARE SELLING THIS VEHICLE AS-IS, IT WILL NOT SHIFT INTO REVERSE! - Power windows are working, but there seems to be an issue with the power locks. The remote works and the doors did lock but it seems like an an on/off issue. The locks basically work occasionally. - The interior of this vehicle is in pretty good shape for its age and mileage. Look closely at the photos and call with questions. This 2000 Lexus RX300 is perfect for a mechanic or someone that knows about this vehicle. Inside and out it is not in bad condition cosmetically.
