This beautiful 1987 Jaguar XJ6, voted as the best designed 4 door car ever made, has been owned by me for the last 20 years. I purchased the car in 1990, when it was only three years old. The car was garage kept almost the entire time I have owned it and was never driven in the winter. This vehicle is in excellent condition for its age and is still a beautiful, stylish, and classy automobile. About 5 years ago, the car was completely repainted, due to dull and somewhat cracked paint that just wasn't as sharp as it used to be. The paint job has held up very well, except for a minor area around the driver's side rear fender, where two small areas are bubbling underneath the paint, due to minor rust. The vehicle also comes with another Jaguar 1985 XJ6 parts car, with a good engine, 5 excellent stock wheels with Pirelli tires, and many extra parts. This vehicle is included free with the purchase of this vehicle, if the buyer wants it. The parts car does not run and will need towed. The car listed runs well, but needs a few minor things. There is moisture in the gas lines, as it has not been driven for about three years. This causes the car to stutter a bit and lose power. The car starts right up and idles very well. There is a small exhaust leak near the front of the vehicle, which causes it to be a bit loud. The transmission is good and it shifts smoothly. The battery is good and it has all like new Pirelli tires. All electrical items work in and on the car. The sunroof also functions well. It has a Pioneer aftermarket stereo and CD player that work very well. The brakes work well and the car drives very smoothly. The wheels are 15 inch stock chrome wheels, but two of them have some of the chrome chipping off and should be re-chromed. However, since there are 6 other stock wheels included in the sale that are not chrome, this is not a big deal. The car has never been in an accident and has been well maintained. There are a few minor issues, as expected with a 23 year old car. With a little work, this car could be mint. The exhaust has a minor leak near the front and is a little loud. The wipers work, but could use new blades. On the dash, some of the wood is lifted up and on the glove box and a small chip is missing in the center near the silver Jaguar emblem above the stereo. The photographs are an accurate representation of the vehicle and many of the minor issues can be seen in the photos. The seam of the front seats have come undone in the centers and the headliner is falling down. The rubber around the outside of the windshield has shrunken a bit in the upper right hand corner, as seen in the second to last photo. The air conditioning does not work in the car, as it is not pumping cool air. The driver's door needs some grease on the mechanism, as it sticks and the door handle must be pushed down on the outside for the door to stay shut. The last minor issue is that the rear passenger side tail light is burnt out. These issues are all very minor and could be fixed easily and inexpensively. The vehicle is a beautiful car that runs well and will be a great show car. Don't forget that a second Jaguar XJ6 is included in the auction with many many spare parts.
