1974 mercedes 450sl convertible all original never been restored. Odometer reads 83114. It is aqua blue with blue interior. I bought it 12 years ago and was driven for one year and has been in my out building storage since, though I started it at least 5-6 times a year. Last week we put fresh gas in it and it started as it always did. I consider this car to be original barn find car but better.. It does have rust, rockers end corners and the battery tray and below it,gas pedale mount some areas where the paint peeled off have only surface. It has the original spare and jack in place. The doors, hood and trunk all open and close as they should. All the glass and trim are nice, and the dash has a couple of cracks, along with the drivers seat. I have seen restored 74 sl's sold for a lot of money and this car in my opinion is great for restoration or just tune it up and drive it the way it is. It does need a soft top, the hard top is in very good shape. Please ask any Q's you might have as the car sold as is. When I relisted the car I notice the odometer stopped working at 83117. In my opinion, this car has a lot of potential, and it wont take much to make it glorious again. I have recieved phone calls and emails from people asking for parts from the car, which surprisingly added up to well over $2000, based on their offers. If this car doesn't sell as a whole this time around, I will sell it in parts.
