Vehicle Detail

The is a rare 1969 MGC #7242. I have recieved this car from a friend that bought it from an estate. This is a well documented car. It has the build sheet, dealer sticker price, original warranty plate and drivers log book. The engine and trans was out of the car and the owner started to restore it back in 1981 but shortly passed on after he started. The car remained in the garage for 30 years. The log book claims that the engine was rebuilt at 70,000 miles and I had it disassembled and it checked out, and it is in very good condition. New gaskets and headgasket and engine painted with correct paint. The SU H6 carbs had been rebuilt and new gas pump. The alternator and starter were rebuilt and also a new battery. 2 new brake booster and hoses. The master cylinder was rebuilt. The clutch master and salve cylinder were also rebuilt. The trans was inspected and the gears looked like new and the bearings and seals replaced. The car was stripped to the metal and painted with Sikkens Noble Auto Coat BT. The seats and interior are in very nice condition for being over 40+ years old. It has a new top and the original boot and tonneau cover. The bumpers and grill were triple plated chrome and many new parts, too much to list. The overdrive shifts nicely but at times kicks out but it is getting less often, thats the only down side .The tach dosen't work but it did when I first started it. It has an electronic Ignition that replaces the points and new coil / wires. This MGC runs great and I drove it 600+ miles since finished and enjoyed every mile. I need to sell before my wife and I get too attach to it. It is a head turner and a fast little car. You can make arrangements with me to see the car, just contact me. A 500.00 deposit to PayPal is required no later than 24 hours after the auction and the car will be released after all the funds clear. Buyer need to make his or her arrangements for pickup ThanksOn Jun-04-11 at 21:48:49 PDT, seller added the following information: I also forget to mention it has 4 new tires and tubes and the spare is the original dunlop tire from 1969 and is still like new. Also have the old hoses with most of the original clamps if you want to take this MGC to the next level. Also have some extra nos transmission parts. These MGC's are getting very hard to find and will just go up in price.
