UP FOR AUCTION AT "NO RESERVE" IS A 1998 DODGE AVENGER ES, V-6 AUTOMATIC(OD) WITH 88,000 MILES. A Great Father/Son Project Car!!! This Avenger (rust free) is painted Chrysler metallic black (needs refreshed) with tan leather interior (in very good condition), The Avenger has new 17" tires mounted on aftermarket wheels (need to be painted) , new battery, fairly new brake pads (all 4 wheels), cat. converter, front struts, dual tipped muffler, in/out board speed sensors and transmission solenoid shift pack. The front bumper cover has a slight dimple located near the ram insignia, mostly a straight body, very few dings. All the power equipment works, power brakes, steering, sunroof, windows and locks. The Avenger is equipped with an aftermarket CD System, overall this is a very nice Avenger which runs and drives nicely. This started out to be a father/son project car, son lost interest and moved on to a Mazda 6, so I no longer need the car. This Car comes with "NO WARRANTY", AS IS CONDITION. If a reasonable offer is made, i will close the auction early and sell the car. Now the only bad thing about the car, The "CHECK ENGINE" light is on, the computer shows a code of P740, which is a Torque Converter Control Circuit fault code. I've had the car to the local Chrysler dealer twice and 2 transmission shops, they couldn't find anything wrong with the transmission, but i still have the code. The transmission shifts great thru all gears and into overdrive, no slippage, sloppy shifts, just crisp smooth operations. I replaced the in/out board speed sensors and solenoid transmission pack as directed by the dealer and tranny shops, the light stayed off for 3 weeks, came back on again. I'm not about to rebuild or replace a transmission if it doesn't need to be. To pass PA. inspection laws for emissions, i must purchase a waiver ($200.00) for an exemption sticker for emissions, states vary on inspections.
