1930 MODEL A +++2 DOOR SEDAN+++OVER-DRIVE WIDE WHITE WALL TIRES+++CURED RESTORATION RUNS, DRIVES, STOPS LIKE IT SHOULD and THINGS WORK UPGARDES: Overdrive gear box, better tires and rims from mid 30s, multi blace fan. VIN A4008505 MILEAGE . 49267 reading, undocumented and it probally is more, but the car has been resored. HISTORY: I bought this Model A from a old man in his mid 70s, he had a large car collection and lost interest in keeping all the cars up. He was selling down to 2 cars, I agree thats plenty to drive and keep up. He lived just north of me here in east Tennessee. TITLE: Clear Tennessee title in hand. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? No real rust problems, no rusty holes and the underside has no rust issues in the frame or floors. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a classic car restorer, but when I find a vehicle I like and can sell for a fair market price, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: The paint is better than drive and enjoy quality! It looks very nice, the car is straight to look down the sides, no cracks, no rust bubbles, no dents, no runs,it has a brilliant shine. I guess I'm trying to tell you this is not a perfect show car with a perfect $20,000 job, but super nice paint that I think 999 people out of a 1000 would be happy with. If you look for defects you will find some minor one "its black paint". CHROME: Nice chrome, no rust, no dulling. INTEROR: No wear, no holes, no smoke smell and it is clean. UNSERSIDE: No rust problems and clean. GLASS: Clear with no milkey spots and no cracks, the side windows roll up and down good. TOP AND HEAD-LINER: The top is in very nice condition, the headliner is very good. SOUND SYSTEM: Roll the window down and hear the engine purr. AIR CONDITIONING: Roll the windshield out. ENGINE: It’s a 4 cylinder flathead that runs like it should, it has no unwanted rattles, no blue smoke. This is a good engine and it runs very strong! EXHAUST SYSTEM: Good used condition. TRANSMISSION: 3 speed manual that shifts as it should, these did not have a synchronized gears. This has the after market over-drive box added, thsi is a good thing if you want to tour. REAR-END: Original and is in good condition. BRAKES: Mechanical brakes, “no juice, no hydraulics”. These stop good, but you have to apply your foot. STEERING: The steering linkage is good, the car drives very good. WHEELS AND TIRES : The tires are in good condition, they are wide white side-wall tires, the rims are from a new Ford, I think mid 30s. LIGHTS and wiring: They work and the wiring is good! The generator has been replaced with a 6 volt alternator, this is a good thing. HORN WORKS ! No wipers! amp gauge works, ! THE GAS GAUGE WORKS! Speedometer is not working, the overdrive box had to have a extention cabe and the inside cable is gone, I'll try to fix it. HOW FAST WILL THE CAR GO! It will go faster, but a good cursing speed is between 40 mph. . HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think they open and close good! Model A Ford doors are made to hang over in the back edge , this is the way they came from the factory. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just too hard! Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but most of them do not impress me at all, most really don’t know what to look at, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself. I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves.
