1975 HONDA CB 750FSUPER SPORT 3,975 ORIGINAL MILES BIDDING STARTS AT JUST .99 CENTS !!!!!!! Up for bid is a rare classic 1975 Honda CB750 Super Sport with only 3975 original miles. This is a one of a kind Barn Find that is out of a California estate that has been lost in a time warp and is in unbelievable original condition that looks much the same way it did when bought new over 36 years ago. This bike is a survivor not restored but all original and still in the wrapper. This would be the ideal canidate for the serious collector as it is one of the most important motorcycles in history. They are only original once and this one is all original from like new fuel tank that is near perfect and still has the same paint and pin stripe it left the factory with down to the like new seat and the the classic BLUE California plate that are becoming collector items in there own right as they have been out of production for over 30 years and this Super Sport has the Blue plate that was issued for this bike in 1975.This bike is coming out of a California estate and is in fantastic condition with very minor age wear from being stored in a climate controlled enviroment. the inside of the fuel tank is as clean as the out side of the fuel tank. The bike runs as good as it looks, she fires right up and is as smooth and tight as a 3900 mile engine should. It has averaged about 108 miles a year. The reality is it has hardly been used in the last 36 years and has a 1987 sticker on it.Its not that this bike is clean.....Its that it has never been dirty....Original CB750s are becoming better investments than money in the bank. I saw on early 70's 750K on Ebay bring over $11,000. Please dont take my word for it but check completed listings. You can buy this one for a lot less and this is the Super Sport not the K. The Super Sport was the high performance model not the plain jane model.Im not sure what a 3k mile Super Sport is worth. I do know an original SS Camaro would be worth far more than a plain Jane Camaro especially one with 3900 miles and original paint that is still very nice.We shall see as the Reserve is very low for such a high quality example. The tires are both very nice and might be original however I cannot guarantee this, never the less they are in very nice condition. The only real negative on the bike is the left side cover which has been cracked and repaired. This is a very common item to be damaged as the left side is the kick stand side. You can buy replacements on Ebay for just $39.99 as they are fiberglass and is a common one to get cracked.Otherwise this is a outstanding example of a classic vintage Honda that will only go up in value in the coming years. This was the original Super bike designed primarily for the US market, the first with a disc brake in front and in the rear. The 1975 CB750F had a more streamlined look, thanks in part to a 4-into-1 exhaust and cafe style seat with fiberglass rear. Other changes included a lighter crankshaft and flywheel. This is a beautiful example of a 36 year old vintage Honda motorcycle that is being offered for a very low reserve.Dont miss out on this rare opportunity to own a hardly used classic priced way below the market. PLEASE NOTE IT IS JUNE 1 HERE IN SUNNY CALIFORNIA AND IT IS RAINING AND I AM TRYING TO TAKE PICTURES IN THE RAIN,YOU MIGHT SEE SOME DROPS OF WATER The Honda CB750 is a motorcycle built in several model series between 1969–2003 and 2007 that is recognized as a milestone for Honda's successful introduction of a transverse, overhead camshaft inline four-cylinder engine that has ever since been the dominant sport bikeconfiguration. Though MV Agusta had sold such a model in 1965, and it had been used in racing engines before World War II, the CB750 is recognized as the four-cylinder sport bike that had a lasting impact and is often called the first superbike. The model is included in the AMA Hall of Fame Classic Bikes HistoryHonda of Japan introduced the CB750 motorcycle to the US and European markets in 1969 after experiencing success with their smaller motorcycles. The bike was targeted directly at the US market after Honda officials, including founder Soichiro Honda, repeatedly met with US dealers and understood the opportunity for a larger bike.Under development for a year, the CB750 offered two unprecedented features, a front disc brake and a transverse straight-4 engine with an overhead camshaft, neither of which was previously available on a mainstream, affordable production bike. These two features, along with the introductory price of US$1,495 (US$8,956 in current money), gave the CB750 a considerable advantage over its competition, particularly its British rivals.Cycle magazine called the CB750 "the most sophisticated production bike ever" upon its introduction. Cycle World called it a masterpiece, highlighting Honda's painstaking durability testing, the bike's 120 mph (190 km/h) top speed, the fade-free performance of the braking, the comfortable ride and excellent instrumentation. The CB750 was the first modern four-cylinder machine from a mainstream manufacturer, and the term superbike was coined to describe it. The bike offered other important features that added to its compelling value: electric starter, kill switch, dual mirrors, flashing turn signals, easily maintained valves and overall smoothness and freedom from vibration both underway and at a standstill; later models (1991 on) included maintenance-free hydraulic valves. On the other hand, the bike was difficult to get on its center stand and tended to throw chain oil onto its muffler.Unable to gauge demand for the new bike accurately, Honda limited its initial investment in the production dies for the CB750 by using a technique called permanent mold casting (often erroneously referred to as sandcasting) rather than diecasting for the engines[citation needed] – unsure of the bike's reception. The bike remained in the Honda lineup for ten years, with sales totaling over 400,000 in its life span. The CB750 is sometimes referred to as a Universal Japanese Motorcycle or UJM.[3][15] The Discovery Channel ranked the Honda CB750 third among the top ten greatest motorbikes of all time Additional Information, Please Read Before Bidding Please only bid if you intend to buy. AUCTION ALERT!!!!! I WANT TO GO ON RECORD TO DISCLOSE THE FACT THAT THIS BIKE CAME OUT OF A NORTHERN CALIFORNIA ESTATE. IT HAS BEEN IN STORAGE FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND IS IN FACT IN UNBELIEVABLE CONDITION FOR ITS AGE AND SHOWS AN OVERAL LACK OF USE. THE BIKE WAS OWNED BY A GENTELMAN THAT IS NOW DECEASED AND WAS AQUIRED FROM HIS ESTATE. HE HAD OWN SEVERAL MOTORCYCLES OVER THE YEARS AND WAS A BONIFIDE COLLECTOR. THIS IS NOT THE ONLY BIKE THAT I AQUIRED FROM THE ESTATE BUT IS THE ONLY HONDA 750F. THE BIKE HAS LONG BEEN OUT OF THE CALIFORNIA DMV SYSTEM AND HAS NO RECORD ON FILE AS IT HAS NOT BEEN ON THE ROAD FOR SEVERAL YEARS ALLTHOUGH IT IS READY FOR USE. THE ONLY DOCUMENTATION I AQUIRED WAS THREE LONG OUT DATED REGISTRATIONS THAT SHOW A 1975 HONDA 750F. I WAS TOLD THAT THESE WERE THE ONLY DOCUMENTS THAT WERE FOUND AND WERE BELIEVED TO BE FOR THIS VEHICLE. I LOOKED AT THE VIN # AND IT SHOWED CB750F-1006172. I HAD NO REASON TO BELIEVE THAT THEY WERE ANYTHING BUT THE REG FOR THIS BIKE. I LOOKED AT THE GOOSENECK ON THE BIKE AND THE FIRST 6 DIGETS WERE CB750F THEY ARE STAMPED ON THE FRAME AS THIS IS BEFORE THEY HAD A SEPARATE VIN PLATE WITH A CLEAR STAMP OF THE YEAR WHICH I BELIEVE STARTED IN 1981 AND HONDA STILL DOES IT THAT WAY BUT NOT IN THE 1970’S AFTER RECEIVING OVER 7 EMAILS QUESTIONING THE YEAR BASED ON THE COLOR OF THE TANK AND THE FACT THAT IT HAD SPOKES INSTEAD OF COMSTAR MAGS I GOT SEVERAL OPINIONS FROM FELLOW EBAYERS OF THE ACTUAL YEAR OF THIS BIKE SO I CONTACTED THE PERSON WHO IS HANDLING THE ESTATE AND SAID THE REG CARDS ARE NOT CORRECT IS IT POSSIBLE THE ORIGINALS COULD BE FOUND. HE TOLD ME THAT WAS ALL THAT WAS LEFT OF THE MOTORCYCLE DOCUMENTS AND IT IS POSSIBLE WERE FOR ANOTHER BIKE THAT HE OWNED. I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THE HISTORY OF THIS BIKE AND WAS TOLD THAT THE OWNER HAD IT FROM NEW AND HE WAS SURE THAT IT WAS NOT MODIFIED OTHER THAN THE EXHAUST WHICH I KNOW IS FROM THE MID TO LATE 1970’S AS KERKER EXHAUST WERE VERY POPULAR AND USED FOR SEVERAL MAKES IN THIS ERA. HE SAID HE WAS SURE IT HAD NOT BEEN MODIFIED WITH A NEWER TANK AND ADAMENT IT WAS ORIGINAL OTHER THAN THE EXHAUST SO I HAVE SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME TRYING TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS MYSTERY. IN KNOW WAY HAVE I TRIED TO MIS REPRESENT THIS VEHCILE OTHER THAN THE WAY IT WAS REPRESENTED TO ME AND WHAT I KNOW AS FACT. WHAT I FOUND OUT THAT THIS MOTORCYCLE IS NOT A 1975 AND NOT A 1977 AS SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE SUGGESTED AS THE BLACK TANK WAS FIRST OFFERED IN 1977. THE VIN FOR A 1975 HONDA CB750F-1000000 THE VIN FOR A 1976 HONDA CB750F-200003 THE VIN FOR A 1977 HONDA CB750F-2100034 THE ACTUAL VIN ON THIS MOTORCYCLE IS CB750F-2014148NOT THE POSTED VIN WHICH IS WHAT I COPIED OFF THE THREE REGISTRATION OF CB750F1006172. THIS BIKE IS WITH OUT A DOUBT A 1976 NOT A 1975. I AM SORRY FOR THE DESCREPENCY NO FRAUD WAS INTENDED YOU ARE BIDDING ON A 1976 NOT A 1975. I WILL PROVIDE THE WINNING BIDDER WITH A NEW “CALIFORNIA TITLE ONLY” WHICH HAS YET TO BE ISSUED FROM THE CALIFORNIA DMV AS WELL AS A BILL OF SALE WHICH CAN BE USED FOR EXPORT OR TO BE USED TO TRANSFER OWNERSHIP IN CALIFORNIA. THIS WAS A SIMPLE MISTAKE OF NOT LOOKING AT THE WHOLE VIN BUT JUST THE FIRST 6 NUMBERS. THE OLDER HONDAS ARE MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO READ THAN THE 1981 AND NEWER AS ALL HONDAS AFTER THAT YEAR HAD THE YEAR CLEARLY MARKED ON A LARGE VING PLATE ON THE FRAME. NOW WHAT ABOUT THE BLACK TANK AND THE WHEELS? I CONSOLTED WITH A GENTLEMAN I KNOW THAT IS AN EXPERT IN VINTAGE HONDAS AND EXPRESSED MY CONCERNS. HE TOLD ME THE 1977 HAD COMSTAR MAG WHEELS AND DUAL FRONT DISC BRAKES. THIS BIKE HAS A SINGLE FRONT DISC BRAKE AND SPOKE WHEELS WHICH ARE CORRECT FOR A 1976. THE ACTUAL SEQUENTIAL PRODUCTION NUMBER IS QUITE HIGH SO AS TO SUGEST IT WAS A VERY LATE 1976 PERHAPS BUILT VERY CLOSE TO THE MODEL CHANGE OVER FOR 1977. IT IS A 1976 MODEL NOT A 1977 SO IT WAS HIS OPINION THAT IT WAS ONE OF THE FIRST BLACK TANKS THAT WAS BUILD LATE IN THE 1976 PRODUCTION AS HE HAS SEEN OTHER BIKES THAT SHARED SIMILAR PARTS TO THE NEXT YEAR AND IT IS VERY POSSIBLE THAT IS WHY THE TANK IS BLACK. THAT MAKES IT QUITE RARE INDEED AND IN HIS OPINION AND I AGREE THAT MUCH MORE COLLECTABLE. WE BOTH FEEL THE SPOKE WHEELS ARE MUCH MORE DESIRABLE TO A COLLECTOR THAN COMSTARS AND IT IS A 1976 AND THEY DID HAVE SPOKES. EITHER WAY THAT IS THE BEST I CAN TELL YOU. I DO NOT BELIEVE THIS BIKE IS A 1976 THAT THEY PUT A 1977 TANK ON BUT IN ACTUALITY THAT IS WHAT IT IS. THE LEFT SIDE COVER IS NOT CORRECT FOR THE BIKE AS NOTED IN THE POSTING AS THE COLOR IS OFF AND IT HAS SOME DAMAGE. THE RIGHT SIDE COVER IS CORRECT FOR A LATE 1976 PRODUCTION. EITHER WAY THAT IS THE BEST I CAN TELL YOU. IF YOU DOUBT ANY OF THIS INFORMATION PLEASE DON’T BID. ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS WHAT I HAVE TOLD YOU. THIS DISCLOSURE WILL STATE IN FACT WHAT IS BELIEVED TO BE CORRECT. I AM SORRY FOR ANY INCONVIENCE AND AGAIN NO FRAUD WAS INTENDED. EITHER WAY THE WINNING BIDDER WILL GET A VERY CLEAN AND VERY LOW MILEAGE MACHINE THAT IS POSSIBLY MUCH MORE RARE THAN I ORIGINALY THOUGHT. GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING!!!!
