Vehicle Detail
If you are looking for a clean two owner BMW X-5 E53 this is it. This vehicle has been in central Illinois since purchased new from Isringhausen Imports in Springfield, Illinois. I purchased the vehicle from Grab motors in Shelbyville after the original owner traded it in. The original owner stated the vehicle had never been wrecked. The car has been stored nightly in the garage since new. All recommended service has been performed by BMW. Vehicle options include premium package, leather interior with power heated seats, sunroof, overhead driver and passenger console, passenger console has lighting and seat reclining controls. Rear passenger heat and A/C controls, rear passenger cup holders, charcoal cabin air filter with automatic pollutant detection and filtering feature, power windows with express up/down and lock. 6 disc cd changer with 8 speakers, on-board computer with 8 functions including automatic ventillation timer, stop watch, average fuel mileage etc. Automatic transmission with manual shift option. Fog lights, Driver, passenger and side curtain airbags. BMW road service and automatic accident notification subscription option available. Headlamp washers, rear wiper and defogger, power, heated, auto dimming and folding mirrors, manually operated rear passenger sun shades, cargo compartment protector, ski-bag option for rear center console and folding rear seats, roof rails, mud flaps. Pathway lighting, soft close hatch. Remote entry with panic button, window open feature and hatch relase. Steering wheel controls for stereo and phone. Electronic adjustable steeering column, memory settings for up to 3 drivers. Programmable Home Link buttons for garage door, security and lighting. Options I've had installed include factory hitch, I-Pod adapter, BMW voice activated bluetooth with insert adapter for the I-Phone 4, spring loaded hatch stops, smoke chrome exhaust tips. Important service work that has been completed includes new front outer cv boots, front and rear rotor and pad replacement, various wear items on the front suspension, belts, battery and all dash bulbs. I just purchased a new full size factory spec spare tire that has never been on the ground. I've owned this vehicle for the last 84,000 miles and have had it professionally polished and the nicks and chips brush touched with Glasurit paint evey year by my local body shop that has over 20 years experience working on Porsche, BMW and Mercedes. I've had two small parking lot type dents paintless dent repaired. Flaws include a chunk out of the drivers side mirror assembly from a drive through mishap and normal wear expected on a 7 year old daily driver. I've replaced the winshield twice with BMW factory glass. The rear hatch glass was replaced with factory glass after it was damaged during installation of new hatch support shocks. Upcoming service expectations include a service inspection II which costs around $600.00 at 130,000 miles. It will need a set of tires at 140,000 miles which cost around $1,000.00 to have dealer installed and possibly new front pads and rotors at 140,000 miles. If you plan to baby this vehicle or run short trips in the winter you will need to have the cyclonic valve upgrade performed. E-53s are notorious for blowing a head gasket due to water condensation in the oil that occurs due to the 15,000 mile service intervals. It's $800.00 for the upgrade or $1,800 for the head gasket repair. I've always run the required premium fuel and top tier fuel whenever possible. The E-53 is becoming more desireable and collectible due to the drastic changes to the new X5s. Look at mine and look at a new one and you will see why. Vehicle has a lien and I will need to send for the title once purchased. I am selling this vehicle to buy a Porsche 911.
