Vehicle Detail
For Sale is my 1988 Saab 900 SPG. I drive it 400 miles a week - 29 mpg highway. I would drive this car across the country. Good: New ball joints, motor mounts, clutch and slave 2008, alternator 2008, brakes and rotors good, steering rack 2008, passenger axle 2009, CV joints good and boots are good. Water pump new 2011, front tires new Pirelli 2010. Rear tires good. Seats and carpet are great. Underside and body are rust free. Car is clean with clean interior and clean underbody. This car will idle in traffic with no overheat issues in any weather. Drives smooth with no issues from 0 to 90mph+. Good turbo boost, nice shifting. Windows and sunroof motor work. The not so good: Sunrood rusted and off track. I've had people ask me if it leaks - well if you are in a torrential downpour, since it is not completely sealed - of course it will leak. However, in a southern California sprinkle/rain - no it does not. Dashboard is cracked. Heater blower motor needs replacement. Small cosmetic scuffs and paint not perfect. Car needs to warm up 1 min before smooth idle (been that way for 2 years) Please, come check it out. I've put it on ebay before and have not been too thrilled with the interest. Bottom line, my car does not have cobweb marks or dry rot from sitting. It is a well maintained daily driver. Just got a new car so need it gone. California buyers - you will get a smog and registration good untill May 2012. On May-30-11 at 22:57:11 PDT, seller added the following information: I want to add a couple of things. 1. The odometer works now, but has been intermittent since I bought the car. It has more than the 90K, though you probaly wouldn't realize it because the odometer works. 2. If you drive the car, back up and HAMMER on the gas, it will pop out of reverse. If you drive it normal, you won't notice the difference. It was this way when I bought the car and is fine. 3. If you buy the car, come drive it. If you don't want it, no sweat - I won't make you buy it. I've been offered 2k and my reserve it 1400. I'm pretty sure that once you drive this car, you'll appreciate it. I don't need to sell it, but I want to because every year I pay for 3 registrations, and in CA it gets $$$$ especially since each reg. requires a $50 smog every two years. Anyway, for honest buyers that win the bid - come check it out. I still drive it over 80 miles a day. It is a beauty!
