Up for sale is my project truck. It's a 1955 Chevy 3/4 ton dually with a steel utility bed on it. It has a rebuilt 350 with a 4 speed transmission. It will start and drive but not far. The gas tank was disconnected when I purchased the truck. I had planned on pulling the utility bed and building a farm truck out of it, but time and money are short right now so she's up for sale. What I know about the truck is that it was owned since at least 1984 by the same gentleman. I purchased it from the guys son. It was used as a plumbing truck until the late 90's when the truck was parked. It had not been run in over 10 years when I got my hands on it. The engine was rebuilt 4 months before the truck was parked. I checked the oil, cleaned the carb with carb cleaner and it fired right up. The truck was wired by an amateur. It could use a new wiring harness if it was to be put back on the road. The cab has some rust on the bottom rear corners but not much elsewhere. The truck was repainted by an amateur. It looks to be exterior house paint on the exterior and spray paint on the interior. The utility bed is solid. No major rust anywhere on it. Tires are fair, they do hold air. I just want to get what I paid out of it. No reserve on this auction. I can deliver the truck in a 200 mile radius of Amarillo for .50 cents a mile. Or you can pick it up. Good luck and happy bidding!
