RELISTED DUE TO A SCAMMER "BUYING" THE CAR ON THE PREVIOUS LISTING -- SCAMMERS WILL BE REPORTED TO EBAY We are selling our 2001 Mazda 626 LX. We have owned this car for about 5 years now and it runs well! Our family needs are changing and we need to downsize our automobile needs a bit. The car has about 152000 miles on it, has been maintained faithfully and we have had some recent work done on it, including transmission flush, new belts, new front oxygen sensor, new front brake pads and rotors, rebuilt master brake cylinder (about 2 1/2 years ago), new rear tires (about 500 miles ago) and new plugs and oil change also about 500 miles ago. The title is clear, it has just been renewed last month and it was just California smogged a month ago as well. The only concerns the car has is that the check engine light comes on intermittently (on for a few days, off for a few days, etc) and has been doing this for about 3 years. When I got it smogged, the mechanic said that it seems to be the sensor behind the catalytic convertor... but I can't get to it. If you are outside of California, you can probably just put in a new convertor for nothing (to be on the safe side). If you are IN California, the smog report should still be good for another one and a half months or so (90 days from when I smogged it). That means you don't have to worry about this problem for two years as the smog report should still be good when you buy the car! Also, the shift lever needs a slight adjustment. To put into Drive, you have to pull back on the shifter a little more than normal so it catches. I think it just needs a cable adjustment. Cosmetically, there is a one inch shallow dent in the roof and some small holes in the headliner (see pictures). The headliner (above the rear window) is a little loose. And even though the radio works fine, the CD player conked out a few years ago... but it is the stock unit and we all know the first thing you want to do one a car anyway is put in a real sound system! The windshield also has a small bullseye in it too, on the driver's side. This is a very dependable car and has served us really well. You can pick it up here in Chico and drive it anywhere... I require the buyer to pick the car up wihing seven calendar days of the listing's end. The reason I say this is that I sold my step-son's car last year for him and it took the buyer three months to pick it up!
