1975 LINCOLN MARK IV * * * * 56,000 Original Miles * * * * NO RESERVE, BID TO WIN! Up for a NO RESERVE auction is this absolutely wonderful 1975 Lincoln Mark IV, with less than 56,000 original miles. This car has been used, but never abused. Completely unmolested! It's always been garaged and maintained properly, and it shows. EXTERIOR: The Chocolate Brown Metallic paint is bright, shiny and looks terrific! I suspect that it's had some touchup over the years, but it's nearly impossible to detect exactly where. It has all the original painted-on factory pin stripes. The car has virtually no rust, just a couple very small spots that are very difficult to see without extremely close examination. The chrome bumpers are completely rust free, and in wonderful condition. The Bright White Vinyl top is nearly flawless. INTERIOR: The white leather seats look like new, absolutely amazing. The brown carpet looks like it's never been stepped on. The dash is free of cracks or flaws, just like new. Virtually all of the interior looks like a time capsule, short of one flaw on the dash bezel just above the ashtray and the door pulls both have cracks (see pictures). MECHANICALS: The 460 V8 engine runs super strong and solid, starts right up every time, and never puffs or smokes. The 3-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly and flawlessly through all the gears. All four tires are new, less than 700 miles. The exhaust is brand new, as are the rear coil springs. The a/c compressor belt is removed, so I'd guess it will need some attention given to it. The car tracks down the highway straight and true, just as it should, with no shakes, rattles or shimmeys. SUMMARY: All in all, this is a terrific example of a completely unmolested 36 year-old mid-70's American personal luxury car. To my knowledge, short of the a/c issue mentioned above, it needs nothing, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere.
