Up for sale is my 1997 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series. I am selling the car because I cannot continue to commute an hr to and from work because I am paying about 500 a month in fuel. I need a smaller vehicle like a cavalier, Saturn or Honda, etc… I am open to trading for a smaller vehicle. These beautiful cars have one of the most reliable engines ever made. With proper maintenance, they generally will last until around 250k+. If you do not believe me, just google the topic—there is plenty of facts backing up my claim. My Lincoln is very rare in that it has the chrome package and black-top. Leather interior with one small tear on the driver’s seat—nothing else wrong—can be sewn. All the electronics work with the exception of the driver’s side window due to the motor. I can have it fixed for 50 if u want to negotiate it into the price. If you know anything about the 90-98 models, you know they are very high quality vehicles. So, I am not going to get into how great the car is. Im going to list the bad things and you can ask any questions you may have. My vehicle has been maintained but does have a few small issues given its age. The issues are as follows: Rear Axle Seal on the left side. 25.00. 200 for mechanic to replace both—I can’t do it but a co-worker (mechanic) will fix it for 115.00 for me. So if u want it fixed, we can negotiate that in the price. Front CV joints need to be replaced. They are making noise now and need new boots I believe. I have not had anyone look at them so I am not 100% but other than that, the suspension is solid. My father-in-law gave me the car as a present and he replaced the air suspension for 2k 3 years ago. It rides like a dream, extremely luxurious. That’s all that’s wrong. The tranny is in excellent shape. The engine is pristine. Oil changed 2 weeks ago. Tires are around 70%. Two bolt covers on the wheel on the left side are missing, but that’s just cosmetic and they cost 20.00 each to replace if u care. The veheicle has not been salvaged, but I did back into a tree and pushed in the left side fender about 2 inches on the tail light. It costs around 500 to fix it so I just fixed it good enough to pass inspection every year—I did this three years ago. Due for inspection January 2012. Check engine light has never came on, but does work. The bluebook for my vehicle is 3850.00, but given its issues it lists for 2800 (fair condition--don't forget to add the black convertable top, leather and chrome package because that makes about a 400.00 difference) and that is very fair considering the issues are minor. The vehicle is not clean in these pictures. The back end damage is not very bad at all. For 2800 it can have some mechanical and body issues so my asking price is very fair considering the vehicle is in good condition and needs minor work.
