Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1976 Jeep 4x4 has a V8 and automatic transmission. NOT A DAILY DRIVER - Its a good project or a fixer upper. It would need work to be driven safely on pavement.. Starts, runs, drives and the brakes are working. I have never driven it on the road, only off road. It appears to me that someone has replaced the steel brake & fuel lines. The metal lines are bright but to what extent of work was done I don't know. It has a tow bar on front which I used to pull it home, about 10 miles on back roads at 30mph and it worked fine. Had a mechanic get it running and test drove it in a field and some woods roads, maybe 3 miles or so. I can't tell you alot of how it performs other than it worked. Has a switch in glove box to engage quadra trac drive. I don't think it works at this time, must be electric or vacum. Mileage unknown speedometer says 50,070. Have this jeep for sale locally also, so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. This jeep is sold as is where is with no warranty expressed of implied. On May-17-11 at 21:28:40 PDT, seller added the following information: FOUND OUT THIS IS NOT A CJ5 ITS A CJ7 SORRY FOR THE MISTAKE.On May-19-11 at 18:27:06 PDT, seller added the following information: Frame has surface rust as you would expect, but seems to be solid. I don't see any holes in frame rails or any sections eatten away by rust. Floor pan is solid, you can stand in it anywhere, there is only a few small holes by brake pedal and by drivers seat mount on one side. Jeep looks to be stock and complete as shown in pictures. Body is straight not smashed or dented. I bought it on the intent of fixing it up, but never seem to have the time. It needs some work but I think it is a good solid base to start with.
