Vehicle Detail
I bought this 1989 Honda Pacific Coast last year off of Ebay form a guy in Sparta WI. The bike was and still is in excellent running condition. It has 22,000 miles and has all fluid changed, two new tires with less than one thousand miles on them. new trunk,, recent tune up, brakes adjusted, front for seals, new air filter, If you know anything about these bikes, you know they are good for upwards of 150 to 200 thousand miles. The PC800 has self adjusting lifters, a hydraulic clutch, and a host of other cool things including a built in trunk. They were only built in the 1980s and early 1990s for the commuter traffic but as we all know Harley was the BIKE during these years. This motorcycle was supposed to be rated at 50 miles per gallon but all I have ever been able to get was around 45 and sometimes 47 mile per gallon. The bad news About six months ago I slid it down in some loose gravel and up against a small stucco retaining wall. The rear right hand side trunk was damaged with some heavy scratches as you can see in the photos as with the left front engine fairing and front wheel cover. The bike never laid down completely and actually started right up and drove home after the accident. The only major damage was the left shock as you can see in the photo was slightly bent. The damage as you can see in the photos was only on the top of the trunk and the trunk opens, closes, and locks with perfect. It starts right up and drives perfect except for the handle bars being cocked about three inches to the right due to the left fork being bent at the holding bracket. The good news. Several months ago I came across a used 1990 PC800 and bought it for the plastic panels. As anyone who knows about these bikes, the plastic pieces are extremely expensive and hard to find. I have all the parts including both molded mirrors, all extra body parts including trunk assembly, The parts bike has been sitting outside for a long time and the parts are extremely faded and will need refinished or repainted. The engine is loose and I do not know if it will run. These parts alone, engine, rear assembly, from forks, shocks, mirrors, gas tank cover, fairing, and all others are well worth what I am asking for the both bikes
