have a 1969 standard beetle that was converted to all electric in 2007 by wilderness ev in utah. we put brand new motor in 12/10 and replaced all batteris 1/11 with 9 new trojan 8 volts the body is starting to have some rust but not bad. could use some interior work but it is ready to go i try to drive it aleast once a week . hate to sell but i need to pay some unexpected bills . at this price it is like buying the conversion with batteries and getting car for free thanks for looking also comes with tow bar made for vw'suses standard 110 household outlet to charge. they say to properly charge about 6 hrs. rated at 40 miles per charge but that depends on driving habits and terrain. around her its pretty flat. i drive it on weekends but i only go about 20-25 miles. the charger is designed to be pluged in when not in use and it maitains the batts. runs about 40-45 mph. don't know cost to charge On May-16-11 at 10:53:50 PDT, seller added the following information: this is the clutchless conversion, with a d&d motor model # es-15a , 40 peak hp and 12 continuous hp, controller is alltrax 7245 which is 72volt 450 amp, we are non-smokers, this is kit # 2 ck out this site where it came from http://www.e-volks.com/about2.html i have clear title in my name.
