UP FOR AUCTION IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL 1969 280 SE CABRIOLET. This is a 1969 Mercedes 280 SE Cabriolet with only one small chip in the paint on the hood drivers side near the windshield. Other than that it is in excellent condition and was driven from time to time and garaged in his climate controlled garage at home. Please understand the most important element of this fine automobile, it was owned by a man who was very passionate about it. So the owner bought it in 1982 to drive on occasion in Hilton Head Island. I believe this car was re-painted once by the current owner in its factory color. I am not sure of the whole car being re-painted as the receipts from the body shop are hard to read and the Gentleman past away so his widow and I could not make out most of the hand writing. One thing for sure is that the car did not have any body damage, the records say re-paint only.
