Vehicle Detail
NO RESERVE!! I recently aquired this truck in a trade. I have no title, but can provide a notorized New Mexico bill of sale. It is a New Mexico truck very little surface rust. This truck runs, drives, and stops! It has a four speed manual transmission on the floor. The engine is the original 235 six cylinder. It shifts great and has a very strong clutch. The cooling system works properly and has no leaks. The tires are old and will need to be replaced before taking it out on the highway for a cruise. I have owned the truck for about three months, since then, I have removed and cleaned the fuel tank, replaced the filler neck hose, and vent hose with new fuel grade filler hose. the fuel line has been replaced with 3/8 rubber fuel line all the way to the fuel pump, which is the original mechanical type, with the glass bowl. The truck originally had the push button starter on the floor. Somewhere in its 62 year lifetime, someone replaced the stock starter with one having the electric solinoid to bypass the push button starter. I replaced that starter which was not working, with the original type, and repaired the missing linkage. It is now push button again. The electrical system has been converted to 12 volt, however the starter is 6 volt. The battery is also brand new. The engine starts right up, it runs well, shifts well, and the brakes are fair. There is not heater box, or glove box liner. The headlights and dome light work, the horn blows. The blinkers and brake lights are working, the flasher under the dash may need to be replaced. The headlight trim rings are included, I just haven't put them on.The gas gauge comes up a little when the key is turned on, the cleaned tank has about 11 gallons of fresh fuel in it. The sending unit may work, I am not sure. The speedo has no needle attacthed to the little shaft, but the needle is in the bottom of the speedo glass. It is probably an easy fix. I just bought a 2011 silverado 3 months ago, and traded my old 86 3/4 ton for this one to help a guy out that needed a dependable work truck.About 25 years ago, I had a 52 GMC,I really don't want another project, 8 years of an old corvette was enough for me, she has been gone for 4 years now! There is nothing glamorous about this truck. It has spent its life in a dry climate. The cab is very solid as well.It has been in a carport for the past ten years, I have no shelter for it. There is one hole in the bottom of the cab behind the left fender above the running board. This is very odd because there are no other issues of this sort. I hope you can notice that someone who thought they could do bondo work, and attempted to bondo the grill, hopefully their first and last bondo job! All the strips which belong in the bed are still there, the the original boards, whats left of them. 15" split rims with 8 lug pattern. This is a no reserve auction, PLEASE dot bid unless you are committed to buying this vehicle. It is in great original condition for 62 years old. I live about 7 miles off of I-25 halfway between Albuquerque, and Santa Fe. I will help the winning bidder load the truck for transport. A 1000.00 deposit via pay pal must be recieved within 48 hours of auction end. The balance can be paid with cash when vehicle is picked up, or a bank cashiers check, will be fine also, which, once payment is cleared the truck is yours. I have described the vehicle to the best of my knowledge, there should be no surprises to the winning bidder! If you have any questions feel free to ask. Good luck and Happy Bidding! If you have a feedback score of 5 or less please contact me before bidding. No international bidders, and no Nigerian scammers please. On May-11-11 at 17:05:37 PDT, seller added the following information: I HAVE RESOLVED THE TITLE ISSUE. I HAVE FOUND A MAN WHO DOES ASSURITY BONDS, FOR 350.00 HE WILL INSPECT THE TRUCK, AND GIVE ME THE PAPERWORK TO HAVE THE TRUCK TITLED IN MY NAME. SO LET THE GAMES BEGIN, YA'LL BID THIS BABY UP!
