Vehicle Detail
MUST SELL THIS LISTING, LOWERED RESERVE $1,000.00. Due to recent family medical expenses, I am forced to sell my mechanic's special 2004 BMW X5 4.4L V8 SUV. The vehicle currently has 117,256 miles and is considered by Kellly Blue Book (KBB) to be in fair condition. The exterior of the vehicle is in very good condition with only minor paint dings on the front end, a small scratch on the passenger side door and three small paint chips on the rear bumper. There is also some light paint transfer on the driver side above the driver door from a toll booth gate that came down on the top. I have owned this vehicle for approx. 2 years and purchased the vehicle with 69K miles. Equipment provided include: black leather seats, black rubber floor mats, single and 6-disc CD changer, navigation system, AWD, BMW Assist, moon roof, roof rack, automatic mirrors, ABS, cold weather and towing package, heated seats, automatic seat controls and seat memory, 4.4L V8 engine, new wipers, Sirius satellite radio ready and leather steering wheel with wood accents. I recently replaced the stock rims and tires within the last year with black chrome rims wrapped in Nexen tires (all same size, 20"). I also replaced the right front caliper, windshield wipers, front end differential (refurbished unit) and put on all NEW brake rotors, ceramic pads and wear sensors. I did install a used transfer case and DSC control module as well, both of which were purchased from auto parts sellers on EBAY. Although I installed the used transfer case and DSC control module, the module is still causing faults in the transfer case and DSC pump. According to my local BMW dealer the pump is fine; however, he could not determine the cause as I had purchased a "used" transfer case. The used module did accept the new program from the dealer; however, is still causing the faults. Additionally, there are few curb rash marks on the rims and the driver side mirror is missing the cover and trim rim (see photos). I am selling these vehicle "AS IS" and will not be making any more repairs. I used module with installation was $522, tires and rims $1,100, wipers $40, refurbished front end differential installed $1,180, front brake caliper $100, used transfer case and installation $1,000. With the recent medical expenses, I am unable to follow through and get the remaining repairs done. This would make a great "mechanics" special for anyone familiar with BMW maintenance. I am starting this auction off at a very low starting point with not much of an increase in the reserve. Compare the photos to other X3s and X5s on EBAY and you will see that this one looks pretty good. I have described the vehicle as best as I know how as I am pretty much mechanically stupid!!! Any questions, please feel to contact me; however, please remember this auction is being sold "AS IS". Buyer is responsible for $500 non-refundable paypal deposit within 48 hours with the remaining certified funds due within 7 days. Buyer is responsible for shipping of this vehicle. I will provide delivery within 100 miles of Crown Point, IN for an additional fee of $150.
