THE CAR WAS RESTORED ABOUT 2 AND 1/2 YEARS A GO BY A MAN IN INDIANA. We have several pictures of the car before the restoration and with it disassembled. MILEAGE: 33470 reading and I'm sure you can add another 100000 to that, but things or replaced or reconditioned. TITLE: Clear Indiana title in hand, former title state was Virginia. IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS? The past owner took pictures of the car before he did the restoration, I have pictures of the floors with the carpet out, they looked very good, but he tried to do it right and put metal in some areas. No real rust that I can find, some of the bottoms of the floors have been replace, the rear quarter drop downs look like they have been replaced and a couple of patches in the trunk.. IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE? None that I can find. WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR? I’m a classic car restorer, but when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell. PAINT: The black paint is very nice, it is straight to look down the sides, it has no dents, it has no rust bubbles, it has no dings, it has a couple of touched up chips low from rocks, but they are very hard to see. I don't think you will complain about the paint, you have to get down very close and look for a spec or imprefection. CONVERTIBLE TOP: The top is in very good condition other than a repaired hole that is very hard to see, its on the passenger lower side, it was from a mouse when the top was off for the body restoration. Its does not leak, but you look real close you can see the repair. The top is not power, but it goes up and down easy. CHROME: Nice chrome it all looks very bright with no rust and no dulling. INTEROR: No wear and it is super clean with no smoke smell, its not brand new, but very good used condition other than a couple of small places on the passengers seat. The door panels and kick panels are a little different shade of white than the seat covers. UNSERSIDE: Nice with no rusted holes or swelled places. For the pictures I did not black it out or put a thin coat of under-coating on because guys might think I was trying to cover rust up something. The owner/restorer put frame connectors on the bottoms from the front frame to the back, this is a good thing, what he did is not as big and ugly as the factory bought ones (the purpose of this is to make the frame stronger). GLASS: Windshield looks good, side window are good with no cracks and roll up and down good. ENGINE: The engine is a strong running 289, past owner said it had been rebuilt, it has a 2 barrell Ford carburater, no choke you have to pump it a couple of times to start. When it was rebuilt he put a very mild cam and headers on. EXHAUST SYSTEM: Good! Its dual and has a mild sound. TRANSMISSION: Nice shifting C4 automatic, this is a 3 speed automatic. REAR-END: No whines or growls, its 8 inch Ford. BRAKES: Good, they are drums all around. STEERING: Good, the car drives great, it is not power steering. WHEELS AND TIRES: Wheels are American Racing and the tires radials with good tread. LIGHTS: They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, parking lights work, side markers work, interior lights under the dash works and brake lights work. GUAGES: They work. SPEEDOMETER WORKS! WIPERS WORK! GAS GAUGE WORKS! HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE? I think they open and close good! DEFECTS AND PROBLEMS: 1. A patched hole in the convertible top, its about the size of a quarter and you have to look for it to see the repair, its patched from the inside and does not leak. 2. A couple of tiny imprefections on the passengers seat. 3.I'm sure there are other problems I missed, but I inspect pretty close and drive the car a lot. TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard!
