1966 Ford Mustang, Convertible with "A" Code Engine 225 Hp. The vehicle inspection was performed April 5, 2011 by a Napa Certified Garage in Grand Junction, Colorado. If you are interested in seeing this report, I can e-mail a scanned image to you. The vehicle has an insurance appraisel performed June 1, 2007 which valued this vehicle at $25,000.00. State Farm insurance has the vehicle currently insured for $21,400.00 replacement value. I have been the owner of this vehicle since May 2, 2007. I have extensive receipts from the owner before me detailing the care and work put into this automobile. These receipts will be presented to the new owner for their records. Transmission and engine were both overhauled in February - March of 1999. The vehicle's odometer read, at time of overhaul, 30,142 miles. Over the past 12 years the vehicle has been driven by the previous and current owner a total of 3,369 miles. The vehicle has been garaged extensively and hoses and belts are fine and maintenance has been performed. In August 2007, tires with only a couple thousand miles on them were replaced due to age. The current tires are very new looking and will need to be replaced, again in two more years. Over the past four years of ownership, the following significant maintenance work has been done by a Napa Certified and AAA Certified garage. Of specific note, this Mustang's front end was improved due to age of the original strut towers - both left and right. Additionally, the lower control arms, idler arm assys and str. removed and replaced. The window controls have been removed and greased and the passenger side rear window controls have been replaced. The following parts have been replaced: Power steering control valve, power steering cylinder, heater core, horn ring, all 4 shock absorbers, rear brake drums, oil pan gaskets, right fender. Special note* the original a.m. radio and 8 track player does not work at all. Special note** The period rims on this car are reproductions from Scottdrake.com. Special note*** The rearview mirror is broken and needs to be replaced. Special note**** This vehicle has high elevation jets in the carbeurator. If this vehicle will be used below 4,000 feet in elevation or above 6,500 feet in elevation, the buyer will need to have the carbeurator re-jetted. Plan on spending $300.00 - $700.00 or more on getting this done. The standard carbeurator is an "Autolite." The car performs well. Please review the pictures carefully. Some of the body work done in 2003 or 2004 has begun to show some deterioration. The drivers side rear fender shows bondo waves. The right fender (passenger side front) was replaced and painted to a very close match in August of 2009. The left fender (Driver side front) was damaged in 2008 and repaired and repainted to a poor match of paint. I have tried to display this in the pictures. The front grill, head light dressing has begun to show space between the body and the parts. Pictures are shown of each head light and the alignment with the hood is no longer clean. A paint chip is also shown on the front of the hood. The car will need a little paint attention and some redo work. The top is electric and works well. A picture will show the top was installed using staples. The top is tight fitting and holds well at 75 mph.
