These especially rare TC Baur models are very hard to come by and we at the Burt collection are very fortunate to have one in our inventory. This vehicle has been meticulously cared for over the last 26 years and it ready for many more open roof years of motoring. Karosserie Baur is a German coach builder that has had a relationship with BMW since the pre-World War II era, converting BMW’s standard coupes and sedans into convertibles. Beginning in 1971 Baur began producing (Top Cabrio) or targa style roofs for BMW’s popular 2002 coupe. With the popularity in Europe of the 2002 TC, Baur turned to the next generation E21 body style 3 series. Without an E21 Convertible Available from BMW, a Baur TC E21 could be bought from BMW network dealerships. With the Introduction of the E30, BMW offered a standard convertible that was designed by Baur but as a model in the standard line-up. For those who still desired the unique styling and advanced safety features of the TC Baur, these models were available via the “Grey Market”. The Burt Collections BMW 325e TC Baur exhibits styling characteristics only available on European models. With this vehicle being of the grey market, European specifications are featured. This means there are no elongated front and rear bumpers that were only on North American models. Wipers for the headlights are also standard features on this particular European model. This vehicle is also fitted with a ground effects kit by German tuning company Zender that gives this 325e a more aggressive look. The 16x7 BBS wheels with Factory BMW center caps are wrapped in 205/40/16 tires that are in excellent condition. The BBS wheels really update the overall look of the vehicle.
