Vehicle Detail

1996 Ford Mustang GT Convertible in rare purple with black leather interior and a black top. This car has the somewhat rare 5 speed and a 3.27 limited slip rear end. The lower control arms were replaced about 15,000 miles ago. The raditor was replaced about 10,000 miles ago. All 4 shocks were replaced with KYB's and front and rear shoes were done about 5,000 miles ago. Intake manifold was repalced with a Ford Motorsports unit about 300 miles ago. It got a new top about 2 years ago. It did not perfect because apparently the frame is slightly bent but it is not bad. Tires have less than 100 miles on them and were almost $900. They are Goodyear Eagle F1 in 245 45ZR 17 on SVT wheels. It has a cold air intake (stock one is in the trunk) which allows more air in and changes the air fuel mixture just enough to cause the check engine light to come on. We drove it that way for years with no problems. If you put the stock air box back on (15 minute job), you should be fine. It does have a couple of bumps and bruises. The right front fender had a dent and the drivers door also has a dent in it. You can see them in the last 2 pictures. I can get you more pictures if needed. This was my wife's daily driver for about 5 years and has been stored under 2 covers for the past year and a half up on jack stands. As mentioned, the tires and top were replaced right before she got pregant and stopped driving it. Because the tires were over $900 (have less than 100 miles on them), I wanted to put the car up on jack stands for storage so they would not get flat spoted. Unfortunately, the car slipped off the jack and the jack hit oil pan. The oil pan is not leaking howerever it dented in just enough that the crank is slightly rubbing on the oil pan. I only ran it for about 5 seconds and then shut it off. I kept thinking I was going to fix it but I have come to the conclusion that it needs to go to a new home where it can be enjoyed. We have several other vehicles and the family goes not fit in the Mustang. I had an ASE mechanic and a Ford mechanic both look at it and said that replacing the oil pan should fix the problem. One even mentioned it you drlled a hole in the oil pan, you might be able to pull it out enough to clearance the crank and weld the hole back up. I will leave it up to you. Just to be clear, you can not drive the car as is. It is being sold as a mechanics special for you to repair or for parts. If you have any specific questions, I am happy to answer them as best I can. If the oil pan is replaced, you should have a good running car for years to come. Vehicle is sold as is, where is. No warranty expressed or implied. I have tried to give you an honest assessment of what I know about the vehicle and the repairs it needs. Again, the vehicle is not in running or driveable condition. Please take this into consideration when bidding. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Good Luck!
