Vehicle Detail
This truck is a rush to drive, with a killer exhaust sound at traffic lights. The idle is somewhat radical, but subdued having a 3 inch stainless exhaust system starting with Headman headers into two 4 inch bullet race mufflers and two more 2 chamber welded mufflers, that follow. The suspension has been lowered, with disc brakes up front and a race car 4 link coil over suspension by "STRANGE" in the rear. Coil overs are adjustable for height. Has a race suspension pan bar, driveshaft loop, engine shut-off switch in rear, and factory power steering. The engine never overheats, runs on pump gas, with an octane booster additive. You can pump up the timing on this bad boy, add some more octane booster and run in the mid-twelve seconds in the quarter mile, with out any cheating additives like NOS. The motor is all muscle, with 466 cubes and a bunch of expensive race engine parts. Block and Heads are original Ford. Heads are a set of original ported SCJ Cobra Jets, including the original valve covers. A Weiand Stealth intake with a Holley HP Double Pumper tops off the engine. The ignition is an MSD digital 6 plus, with rotary switches and options like two RPM limiters, an NOS retard & launch RPM setting. There is even a start retard setting of up to 20 degrees, if you lock-out the MSD billet distributor. Mechanical gaugers are the better SUMMIT oil & water. The seats are captain chairs that are soft and cushy with arm rests still in place. A custom console houses the HURST V-matic shifter for both automatic and manual shifting, with a reverse lock-out in the event you are racing. The body of the truck is very solid from the floor boards to the cab roof and have not been patched. You'll have to search hard to find any appreciable rust on this short bed. All of the glass was removed prior to painting and when reinstalled with new felt, rubber and sealers. It's always kept in the garage, if not at a local car show or occassionally on the track. Odometer only reads 643 miles since the rebuild of the drive train. Total miles on the body are just under 100K. Gimme your best honest offer, then turn-key, drive and get attention whereever you go. Someone always stops to ask questions at the gas station or the grocery store about the truck. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time and hope someone out there appreciates the value of a solid old F100. Please, no tire kickers or offers of large checks over the price. Thanks. On May-06-11 at 19:15:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Weather permitting, vehicle will be at Abacoa Car Show WPB on May 7th at approx. 4:30 p.m.On May-09-11 at 12:05:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Although I am aware I must sell this truck since I did not list a reserve price, I was hoping to get at least 16K and above. It has a lot of expensive and nicely done parts/work invested. I ask all bidders to consider that I will also include another set of ported big block Ford heads for this engine with 93cc combustion chambers/2.08 intake size, and a good working 31 spline 9" Ford center chunck with 3.50 gears if they bid it within $300 of $16K. Only two days left and its sold. On May-10-11 at 13:34:57 PDT, seller added the following information: Two more pictures added showing undercarriage.
