1964 FORD GALAXIE COUNTRY SEDAN WAGON 6 passenger Disc brakes 390-FE V8 74,000 miles.... Up for auction, is this very nice 1964 Galaxie Wagon. A classic example of Ford design at its best. This is your chance to own a rare peice of Ford history. A great vehicle for the local car show circuit or a nice candidate for a full restoration without having to seach for parts.. This wagon is complete with all the original chrome, glass, body moldings and interior. I would consider this wagon a nice everyday driver. Originally, it was going to be converted into a street rod, but we rescued this beauty and now have it up for your consideration. It comes equipped with an AWESOME 390 V8 FE 4 barrel carb, big block. It runs and shifts perfect! and YES, it moves! This is not the original 352 V8 that would have been under the hood...but a very nice upgrade!...The interior of the car is very nice and original all window cranks work, even on the tailgate. The door panels are in very good condition, along with the headliner. All guages, turn signals, lights and components work as intended. You will be impressed with the inside of this wagon... there is a tear on the drivers side of the front bench seat. One of the hardest items to find for these wagons is the glass... All of the glass is in very good condition with Zero chips, cracks or marks. Also, another plus is the chrome body accents.. everything is there and very nice, with the exception of the rear peice of chrome above the passenger tail light, it is there but is in need of repair. Wheels, tires and dish covers are all nice.... and speak for themselves. As I stated, this was going to be turned into a street rod, so the exhaust has been modified... The body of the Galaxie is in good condition. It has been repainted at some point. It shows some minor rust starting to pop thru on the passenger side rear door and a little on the other door. The hood is in primer. Keep in mind, this is an unrestored 47 year old car and is not perfect.. but easily could be! The spare compartment is fairly clean. It shows a minor bit of rust but actually is in good shape. If you are looking for something to drive now and go to shows.. this is it. If you are wanting an "excellent" restoration vehicle, with all of the hard to find stuff on it.. Here it is!
