For Sale 1978 Honda XL 175, this bike was bought from a estate auction and had only one owner prior of me buying at auction. The bike was parked inside of a garage for years, it was covered with a inch of dirt and it did not look to bad of shape for a restoration project. My first concerns were if the gaskets would leak due to it sitting all those years, and the only thing that leaked were the front fork seals, and I did have them taken off and replaced with new fork seals. Motor had no leaks, I flushed out the gas tank, cleaned the carburetor some and put some starting fluid down the cylinder, it started up, motor ran great, gears shifted nice. I took the seat off and got a new seat cover, need to install it, got a new gasket set for the engine but it did not need it, a new drive chain still in the box, new battery in the box, repair and maintenance book. If it is bought for restoration it will need new tires, side cover (found out that they are very difficult to find, but they are out there, and yes at a hefty price) perhaps a new gas tank, however the one on it works and has a few dents. Ignition switch needs to be replaced, this bike will start and run with or without a battery, If it is ran with no battery the lights (head and tail lights) will not work. If you want it for parts the motor itself can sell from $400 on up, I bought this cheap and will sell it cheap. My planes were to restore it myself but due to my new job leaves me little time, and away from my residents for long periods of time.
