Vehicle Detail

I have for sale a 1969 Triumph Spitfire MK3 two top roadster. It is a 3 owner, garage kept car. The car is in great condition. It is almost completely rust free. The body is very straight, with just a few chips and minumal scratches, and a very minor ding here or there, but has only been re-painted once several years ago. It is the original color. It has the original hardtop, with the original headliner still in it. The soft top is in excellent condition with no rips or tears, and the plastic windows are very clear. It comes with the top boot, also in very nice condition. The paint was professionally done many years ago, but was garage kept, so it still looks great. You will find no rust or bubbling on the exterior of the car. The undercarriage is very solid in original condition (dirt included). The undercarriage has not been cleaned or painted, and is in great condition. The interior is very nice. The seats have no rips or tears. The dashpad is very nice, with no cracks. The door panels are very nice. The carpet is in very good condition. The sunvisors are very nice. The guages all work, with even the cable drive tachometer still working. The stick on woodgrain around the dash is coming loose around the edge, and could use re-glued, but is still very presentable. The car starts and runs very good. It has been sitting in a garage, and hardly driven for the last few years, so I would go through and inspect everything before putting it on the road for daily use. It starts and runs very good, with good carburetion. The clutch is very good. The transmission shifts smoothly. The brakes are very good. All the lights and guages work. The steering and suspension are all good. The tires look almost new. It does seem to have a slight exhaust leak at the front of the motor, (probably manifold gasket). The rear part of the exhaust from the muffler on back looks to not be very old. It appears to have a slight oil leak around the valve cover, which is to be expected since the car has been sitting, and not driven much.It could use a tune-up, as this has not been done in many years. But, as I said, it does run very good. The car still has the original motor. It does not knock or smoke. The car is a 3 owner car showing 63,000 miles, which I believe to be correct, but I do not have documentation of such. The third owner purchased the car a few years ago from the second owner, who bought it in 1970. It has always been garage kept, and is a former trophy winner in our small area car shows. All in all, it is a beautiful car, and you would be very proud to own it. I have only driven it up the road a couple of times, but it catches everyone's eye when I do. They like to hollar nice car, or give you the thumb's up when you ride by. You won't find many, if any 1969 Triumph Spitfires this nice. I will require a $500.00 non-refundable cash deposit within 24 hours of auction end, with the remainder of the purchase price due within 7 days of auction end. The payment needs to be cash, cashier's check, or bank transfer. The car and title will be released when funds have cleared. Please do not bid, unless you plan to purchase this vehicle. When you agree to buy it , you are entering into a legal and binding contract, and any non paying bidders will be reported to Ebay, and sanctioned by Ebay. I have heard the horror stories about things like that happening. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I would entertain realistic buy it now offers. If you would like to see the car, please do so before bidding. It will be available to be inspected prior to bidding. If you have any questions, you may call or text me @ 812 499-0694. Good luck, and happy bidding. You will be proud to own this beatiful piece of sports car history.
