Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is is my 1969 LIncoln Continental. I need to sell it to pay off my boat, we dont use it that much anymore and I hate to see it sit! Last year we only took it out four times ,but i dont like to let it sit over a month so i start it and run around the block to keep her fresh. The only thing I have done to it is had the carburetor professionally rebuilt. since i got that back last year I have not had it tuned to the car, I dont know how to do it and I dont trust any mechanics in my area with her. The odometer reads 29000 and thats all I know about that the owner I got it from said its original and gave me a history of the car in his family and I believe him due to the condition of the vehicle. The inside is very clean it has a crack down the dash and minor interior issues that can be easily repaired , the body is great but is starting to get a few rust spots in the usual areas. The tranny is a smooth as silk and the car is a floater it rides so sweet down the road. I could write all day about the vehicle but if you are looking at it you know all about them problably more than me. For a 42 year old car this thing is super nice and gets attention everywhere it goes. good luck on bidding i have it priced lower than I have seen them sell for . I am also selling locally and have the right to pull it off at any time.On May-01-11 at 14:22:18 PDT, seller added the following information: I just lowered the reserve because as I was looking at photos of the car I saw the windshield was cracked, I forgot a dang rock from my mower hit it last summer. And another thing to mention is the top, it is not original . when I got the car it was ripped and torn we had the roof thinly coated in rhino liner to protect it from the elements till we put a new liner on, but it came out so good we kept it that way! If you chose to put a top on it will go right over this and it will help protect the car. I have seen new fabric tops as low as 250 dollars but there is not anyone in my area that does it.
