Vehicle Detail
Ford Luxury at it's finest! This classic 1976 Thunderbird will turn some heads and have folks remembering the "Good Ol' Days"! This baby blue comes with many luxurious options included from the factory (luxurious at the time) The main features are as follows: 1. Very low miles. (under 100,000 original) 2. A beefy (and original) V8 7.5 460 that gives this solid vehicle plenty of push. 3. Original Ford Transmission has been rebuilt by the pros at All Pro Transmission and is good as new. 4. The front fenders were starting to rust from the bottom. Instead of a cheap, (and ineffective) Bondo repair, the rusted portions were cut out at G.D.L Autobody and new material was molded for a perfect repair. 5. Less than 5% rust (vehicle has been very well kept). Snow white leather interior that is in great shape. 6. The 4 barrel carb was given a complete rebuild at G.D.L autobody. 7. Air Conditioning (Original R-12 system can be retrofitted to conform to current laws) 8. Heat (heater core has been bypassed by owner since it is not used in the winter months) 9. Power windows! 10. Original working 8-track player. 11. Well documented and dated records of vehicle maintaining and repair. 12. Original promo material's and Ford's dyno test results. 13. Many more. There are NO major issues with this car. The minor (and yet simple to repair issues that I know of are: 1. Needs valve cover gaskets. (a bad gasket results in oil to leak onto the block and then smoke) 2. Needs a new O.P.S (oil pressure switch) oil has been leaking around it's base. 3. Front wheel bearings should be repacked. Better yet, replace them because they are less than 10.00 per side. Don't forget the seals! You should not reuse them. 4. Although there is not problems with brakes. I would suggest inspecting the pads, rotors, hardware, etc. because of the vehicle's age. (Can be done at time of wheel bearing service) 5. The fuel gauge sometimes displays an empty tank. ( I would say that the problem is the sending unit, I don't think it's electrical. The vehicle can be seen on weekends. Please call Patrick at 708-510-1601 to schedule a meeting or with any questions related to the vehicle. This classic also has some neat and original promo booklets and even a completed dyno-like testing form from the ford factory in 76.
