I am listing for sale my 1978 IH scout II. This rig is currently my daily driver and has been very dependable.All lights and gauges are in proper working order. 345 motor no ticks or noises and strong runner. Auto trans. 2.5" lift springs with 2" body lift. Minimal rust for a southern rig.The pas side front cab mount has been replaced and the floor patched, There is some rust above the wheel well on the driver side quarter, a credit card size spot on the drivers floor above the front cab mount, and two more small spots behind each wheel well in the bed floor. The pasenger side quarter has been replaced and is perfect. Again very minimal rust for a rig in this area and is honestly the most solid scout I have ever owned and I have owned several. The rig was involved in a wreck before I purchased it and the frame was dented in in front of the front cab mount. I took the truck to a chasis shop to have it straightened , and was told that the rig was still tracking fine and unless it just bothered me it wasn't needed to fix it. Lots of new items installed list is as followed. New prestolite distributor w/pertronix ignitor, new shocks all around, new fuel sender and poly fuel tank, freshly rebuilt 727 atuo tranny, new ujoints in front and rear drive shafts, autolite plugs, bosch 8mm plug wires, fuel pump, fuel filters one before and one after the pump, master cylinder and brake booster, battery, boregeson steering joints, straight steer brace, tires are in good shape with probably 80% tread left.
