I have a 1956 Pontiac Star Chief convertible that needs a complete restoration. It was my first car that I got in 1960, I have had it for the last 51 years. The last time it was on the road was 1964, and has been stored in a barn or wagon shed since. I always wanted to restore this car but it looks like I never will so maybe someone else can. It has a black and white interior with a red and black exterior with a white conv. top. Floor pans and trunk pans need to be replaced. The engine ( a 370 ci) and transmission are from a 1958 and only have approx. 42K miles on them but should be rebuild after all this time. Carb is a 4 barrel carter AFB. As you can see from the pictures the top needs to be replaced, most if not all the chrome needs to be re chromed. Glass is all there however drivers window is cracked and needs to be replaced. The pictures were taken in Sept. of 2010, I pulled the car out of the wagon shed for the pictures then put in back in on blocks. The trunk lid stars were remmoved and are gone as well as the pontiac name on the hood. It will be local pickup. only.
