Vehicle Detail

No Reserve. A bike this old with so few miles has a story. The motorcycle was bought new in Miami. The guy dropped it the first week and damaged the front fender. It then sat in his garage until about two years ago when a second guy started the restoration process. He put new tires on it plus new mufflers, grips, forward foot pegs, new rubber on kick start, spark plugs, spark plug wires, flasher relay and new gasoline hoses. The original tool kit is included. I also have a Clymer brand maintenance manual. He also rebuilt the carbs; but, the left one still leaks gas through the overflow tube. He had plugged up the overflow tube at the time I bought it, so I didn’t notice this. The bike had 493 miles when I bought it and has 522 now. The bike has good compression but I don’t want to use it with one carb not working properly. Things still needing attention: rework left carb, seat has a scuff on lower left side (see photo), cooling fins on engine need polishing and new battery. Gas cap lock is broken but I have a locking replacement cap ready to be installed. One of the plastic carb covers was broken; however, I have two covers in good condition, but will need to be painted as they are green instead of gold to match the rest of the motorcycle. The silver paint on the engine is flaking in a few places and should be sprayed to look pristine. I think I have reasonably well described things needing attention, check my feedback. But in case I have missed something, I am including a second 1972 CB350 for parts. The parts bike has new knobby tires as it was used for a dirt bike. The parts bike was running when parked three years ago and still has good compression. My interests have changed and I need to let someone else enjoy this classic bike.On Apr-29-11 at 11:46:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Update: I was able to charge the battery enough to start the engine and ran it at idle for about 10 minutes. I still think the battery will need replacing before long and the left carb needs to be reworked as noted above.
