53 Ford ive owned for 4 years, car was from New Mexico most of its life and in texas which is where i bought it, it was bone stock and had and still has a very solid body, NO BONDO SOLID ,ive built this to be a daily driving car which it is unless its Raining out, it probably gets at least 250 miles a week on it. Last year i installed a 74 Ford Maverick 302 and FMX transmission both which were out of engine and rebuilt, painted etc, i broke open the top end just to see for myself when i bought the engine and trans and all was good, i replaced the stock gaskets with high performence ones and did the following with the engine, (New) Holley 4 Barrell - Edelbrock intake - Water pump - fuel pump - harmonic balancer - Hedman headers into cherry bombs- distributator with Crane cams electronic ignition and coil - Aluminum fan - // also added was some vintage 60s Cal Custom valve cover Car also had added: Rebel wiring (all wires new and upgraded to 12 V) - Battery relocated to trunk - Jamco 4" under rear leaf springs and 3" under front coils - Universal bias ply tires - drum brakes replaced in front (rear good but have parts) front suspension totally redone minus sway bar bushings, new driveshaft, bearings etc... i started on the inside with new carpet after i coated the floor no rotted panels just scale rust which i scraped and coated most, Drivers side window needs replaced, stock gauges not connected have under dash oil, temp and volts Other than that its a solid DAILY DRIVER that needs to be finished up, i have no time here at my current military assighnment so im selling it.
