Vehicle Detail
This is my Oldsmobile 442 Tribute. An original 1968 Cutlass S built into a very accurate 442 tribute back in the 70's. The car's body and paint are very nice with only one patch used on the lower driver's side qtr panel back when the car was painted (1995). The panels are straight and the paint is very reflective with very few dings as you can see. Never driven in bad weather - all bumper chrome and stainless is in great shape. The complete drive-train has less than 6,000 miles on it since being done back in the 90's. The engine is an Olds 455 with big valve "E" heads that have been ported and polished, Edelbrock intake, Holly 800 carb, Mondello pistons, Edelbrock roller cam and roller rockers, high volume oil pump, windage tray, ARP bolts, 10.5:1 compression, runs real strong, it's estimated to run at 600hp/650lb ft. Headers and new 3" exhaust out NOS 442 tips, the trans is a rebuilt Turbo 400, all heavy duty internals with a trans cooler. The rear is a rebuilt Olds 12-Bolt rear with 4:11's. The front suspension is all rebuilt and is very tight, 442/AC springs up front along with an ADDCO sway bar with poly bushings. Options include power steering and power disc brakes. All new brake parts including calipers, drums, rotors, the vacuum canister for the power brake booster works perfect. The suspension is all new outback as well, I'm running "old school" Lakewood track bars so I could retain the sway bar, she looks beefy as hell from the back. The car still has the original black interior with buckets and console, all still in very nice shape -- driver's seat foam could use replacing but work fine as they are. The radio was updated with an AM-FM-CD with remote. The factory "tach/clock" was taken from a 68 442 along with the dash harness so everything is correct behind the dash. I power trunk button was added also. All in all this car is very solid and close to 100%, it runs, drives, handles, and stops better than it did when new. Classic 15" Centerlines with new BFG radial TA's (rear 275/60, front 255/60). The car looks like a "day two" build from back in the 70's and 80's.
