Vehicle Detail
OK, Here's something you don't see very often. A first generation crew cab with the legendary CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL. It is intercooled and runs great! It does however have a BAD TRANSMISSION. It is an automatic 3 speed with overdrive typically found in 1992-1993 dodge turbo diesels. I have owned this truck for 1 day at the time I am posting this. I will try to give you as much information as possible to help you decide if this truck is for you. Everyone loves a good story, so here's mine. I owned a 1992 d350 5-speed for 7 years and sold it because of the economy and because I did not use it for anything other than transportation, where it was not big enough for my family of 4. 1 year later I became the unexpected proud owner of a boat, and had nothing to pull it with. I looked for 3 months for another Cummins diesel truck and stumbled across this truck with 4 doors and having the engine I loved, so I bought it. It was disclosed at the time I bought it that the transmission was bad, no big deal because I had a buddy that supposedly had a good used transmission for it. I WAS SO HAPPY!!! I had my buddy help me trailer it home where I would show my wife my wonderful purchase and she would be shocked and in awe of my fine skills of finding the perfect vehicle for us to use to pull our boat. It was a copy of my beloved d350 but better. It had 4 doors instead of 2 and it has the motor, HOW SHOCKED SHE WILL BE I smugly thought and I called her as we pulled down the street. Well....that was yesterday.......apparently she wanted a newer truck.....she NEVER liked my other truck ...........I am not the hero I thought I was.......My buddy does not have the right transmission.......my world has fallen apart. The Details- Left fender is dented, right fender was replaced and the red does not match. I found the tailgate in the back yard of the guys house i bought it from and is in poor shape. Apparently the pin at the bottom where the gate pivots broke so he took it off and put it back there. It has some rust at the roof where the pictures show, but no where else. It has a very large transmission cooler under the bed on the right side of the truck. The battery is good. The inner dually tires are low/flat the rest of the tires are ok, but I would replace them. the seats are nice, but the front fastening point need some attention, it looks like they didn't put a washer under it and it's pulled loose. It has the 1992 style dash and gauges and looks like it was installed Beautifully, I can't tell the difference between that one and my old truck. My wife calls it a 20 footer, it looks good from 20 feet away, but i'm blinded, It looks good to me all the way up. Don't plan on driving it home, you put in in gear and it doesn't do ANYTHING. The Right rear doorglass is broken. There is no warranty with this thing, what you see is what you get. The mileage on the odometer is incorrect. True mileage is unknown. My feedback is 100% for a reason, it's because i'm honest and complete any EBAY deals with a sense of urgency and respect. I expect you to deal with me the way I deal with you. A $500 deposit is REQUIRED within 24hrs of the auction ending and can be paypal or other. The balance has to be paid by some means that does not have fee's associated with it or you pay them. Do not bid if you do not have the means to pay for it or get it picked up. If you cannot complete the deal within 2 weeks, you will lose your deposit and it will be relisted. I do not have the money to sit on this thing while you figure things out. That being said, I wish you luck in your bidding and hope that your wife will enjoy your purchase -Jim- On Apr-19-11 at 05:35:58 PDT, seller added the following information: I added some underside shots for those of you who were asking. Also for those who are not familiar with the crewcab dodge's, They never made them Cummins Diesel from the factory. It takes 2 trucks to make one, the crewcab and the mechanical donor truck. This truck was a 5 speed and was converted to an automatic. It still has the clutch pedal. This truck has various dings here and there, AKA LuvBumps. This thing is 27years old- need I explain more? Anyway- keep asking questions and I will keep finding the answers for you. Hope this helps. -Jim-
