I have for sale my 1956 Chevy Belair 2dr HT. I have owned the car for four years. The car is an older restoration, all floor panels and trunk floor are solid and are believed to be original, as is the body sheet metal. This car has very little filler on the sheet metal, but the outer rocker panels and lower quarter panels are starting to show some small paint bubbles that could indicate surface rust starting, as shown in pictures. Brakes are original drum type with new linings. Car under carriage and frame are original and solid, as is the gas tank. The car has had a recent complete interior replacement to match the original 1956 pattern. The car has a Chevy small block Chevy 350 motor, with an "Edelbrock Performer" 4 barrel carburetor on a Wieand intake manifold. It has a Chevy TH 350 automatic transmission. The car has new chrome Sun tachometer and after-market gauges, new alternator, starter, HEI cap, coil, rotor & wires, shocks, universal joints, lower ball joints, complete new steering linkage and front sway bar. The motor has headers, into a recent "Flomaster" exhaust system. I have recently installed a new "Desert Cooler" radiator with electric fan (original GM "Harrison" radiator has minor core leaks and is included with sale). Car has new BFG Radial TA tires on new "American Racing" "Chrome Smoothie" 15" rims, (original rims with like new Bias ply 670/15 wide white walls and full hub caps are included), 9 tires and rims in all. All glass is in good condition and all windows operate as they should.. Radio is new AM/FM with iPod input. Speedometer works, but odometer does not (it shows 22,880 miles). Judging from the condition of the under carriage and frame, I don’t believe the actual mileage to be over 60-70,000 on the car. Stainless trim is in good condition, some chrome could be redone. Things that need attention: Interior dome light and clock do not work. Wiper motor is original vacuum type and needs to be replaced. Directional signals work, but do not auto cancel. Vent windows need new weather seals. Passenger side door locks, but not with the key from the outside. New heater core needs to be installed (new core comes w/car) Buyer is responsible for pick-up or delivery transportation services and charges. Buyer will notify seller within 24 hrs of the close of the auction, and make initial $1,000.00 down payment with a "Certified Cashiers Bank Check" , Paypal or cash within 72 hrs. Final payment will be in the form of "Certified Cashiers Bank Checks" or cash and are due within 10 days of auction close. Seller reserves the right to sell the vehicle privately during auction time period. Vehicle must be picked up within 14 days of auction close.
