Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1989 Chevy K3500 4WD. The truck has had a 5.9 Cummins engine from a 1993 Dodge pickup implanted in it. Behind that is a NV 4500 Manual Transmission, also has the NP 205 transfer case. I purchased this truck from the man who did the conversion, I did not do it myself. I have had the truck for about 2 months. In that time I have had the injection pump rebuilt, with new cam and rollers put in it, brand new fuel shutoff solenoid, also had a BD Performance fuel pin installed, and a 3200 rpm governor spring. Amazing difference there. After this I put new springs in the front, they come from Eaton Spring Company, and are rated at 2500# each side. Installed new exhaust from downpipe back to tailpipe. Rewired the flat bed, and put all new lights, as well as an auxillary work lights. I also replaced all steering components in front end. I replaced bearings and bushings on the hubs, this kit came from Dana Spicer. Therefore the entire front suspension and steering components are NEW! Also put a new thermostat from cummins in since the existing seal was dripping a bit. The truck has a Dana 60 front axle and a GM 14 bolt rear axle. I have all receipts for the work I have done to this truck. I will give all these to the new owner. I love this truck and intended to keep it, I love having something rare like this. However, it is bad timing on my part as I have many irons in the fire. I am building a new house, just started a new job, and have 2 young children. I have pretty well done everything mechanically that this truck could need for a long time. However I intended to restore the body and interior next. The interior does not all match, and the body needs some attention. The linkage rod between the pedal and the master cylinder is a bit short but the clutch still disengages fine, just doesn't have excess travel. My dedication to this truck has put a large strain on my family, and I would rather give up the truck than cause trouble. I also just sold my contracting business and dont need a pulling truck any longer. :( I intend to purchase a small truck to drive back and forth to my job. I almost forgot, I did check the mileage one time on this truck. Drove it to town and back 2 times, and went to pick up a new engine for my wifes minivan. The combination of town and highway was 16.9, this is not too bad for a 1 ton, 4wd, with 4.11 gear ratio. But my last 1991 cummins truck with 3.55 gears got 19 in town and 22 on highway! This truck is not perfect, the rocker panels on the rear of the cab are showing some rust, and the paint is delaminating. I intend to sell this thing CHEAP! Someone is going to get a strong truck at a great price, I hope that it is you!!! You can call me with any questions. Seth 573-225-4292 I dont know what the mileage is, but this thing is a very strong vehicle, and with new injection pump, it should last forever! The combination of motor, transmission, transfer case and axles is a bulletproof combination! If buy it now is used I will include the tool boxes. The large box is WeatherGuard. There are also 2 side boxes.
